Ichthys Masterpiece

Remember the time when artists wanted to showcase their works of art for everyone to see? Even the humble ichthys that became a symbol of early Christianity would have been considered one of the greatest works of art. Now, with the Internet becoming more dysfunctional, and art regulations going out of hand, masterpieces like these are getting fewer that even search engines are having a hard time finding them.

Here are some artworks that used to be available on DeviantArt but not anymore because they were deleted by the user account or the user account had been deactivated.

Not all deleted DeviantArt pictures disappeared because the DeviantArt user account was deactivated. Here are some pictures that were deleted from the DeviantArt gallery that were uploaded by user accounts that have not been deactivated yet.

If you are aware about these cases, perhaps you will realize that some people have given up interest in leaving behind any digital legacy on the Internet whatsoever. In some of these cases, they did it to protest against the World Wide Web becoming more and more dysfunctional as time goes by.

Disappearing Digital Footprint

As our privacy is now more precious than whatever Internet legacy we wish to leave behind for future generations, some people have gone to extreme measures to remove themselves from the web by deleting their digital footprints. Unfortunately, such measures have hurt many netizens as a result. Mainly because other netizens will miss them when they are gone.

Lakitu goes minesweeping

Now that Mario is gone, Lakitu can finally stop throwing Spinies at other people and go back to his favourite hobby of fishing for loot. Unfortunately, there are waterways that are still polluted with anti-ship mines, and they pose a severe threat to shipping. No wonder Lakitu was shocked when he caught a mine. Even people searching for underwater booty would be in for a nasty surprise...
