Smacked By Rune Warhammers

Characters that are about to get smacked by an Old School RuneScape Rune Warhammer wielded by a Rabbid from the Rabbids series, from left to right: Toad (Super Mario Bros), Crazy Redd (Animal Crossing), Louie (Pikmin), Mugger (RuneScape), Buddy (Kick the Buddy).

It's possible that the Toads from Super Mario Bros are a far greater threat than all of the Koopa Troop's ringleaders combined because of whatever parasites they could have been harbouring since 1985. And to think that telling us that Princess Peach is in another castle was the worst thing Toad did to the Mario fans...

Animal Crossing fans have always made no secret of their disdain for Crazy Redd and his many scams. It's a pity we don't even get to give him any comeuppance whatsoever...

I'm very sure Louie was the true antagonist of the Pikmin series right from the start, if Pikmin 2, Pikmin 3 and Pikmin 4 were anything...

Muggers should die over 9000 times for terrorizing millions of RuneScape players. Period.

Buddy from Kick the Buddy was always destined to get beaten up many times over, and a Rabbid smacking him with a Rune Warhammer is just one of those methods of beating up Buddy...

With all that said, I would feel sorry for Buddy from Kick the Buddy. As for all the other characters that are about to get smacked by a Rabbid wielding a Rune Warhammer, they all deserved to get destroyed by the Rabbid, and I do not feel sorry for them.

More things that are better than Internet Censorship

Author's Note: Once again, I give you another comic about things that are better than Internet Censorship. Only this time, it's about Nintendo-related products that I would rather be than to be someone who censors the Internet for any reason whatsoever.

The Game Boy Micro may have been a commercial failure, but it was the very definition of the super compact handheld console.

The Game Boy Light was basically a Game Boy Pocket with an electroluminescent backlight. Despite being confined to the Japanese market, this handheld console paved the way for the backlight version of the Game Boy Advance SP.

The mediocre sales of the GameCube meant this Nintendo console got almost no love from video game history. However, it managed to sell more units than the Sega Dreamcast. Even the Wii U's sales figures do not go anywhere near the GameCube.

Famicom consoles (Both the original and the redesign) are definitely something I would rather be not because they do not censor the Internet at all, but they have never failed to capture our imagination, even if you have never owned one before.

As the main controllers for the Wii, Wiimotes are definitely good, that's for sure.

Of course I would be better off being a Four-Ball Tee from Animal Crossing. In fact, it became one of Villager's alternate costumes in the Super Smash Bros series.

Pyra's Tiny Shorts are actually very comfy, and they would go well with a pantyhose.

The Weird Side of the Web

The Internet can sometimes be a weird place, and here are just twelve images that define Internet weirdness.

There were occasions where belly dancers' skirts fell down, resulting in their panties getting exposed. It's a good thing the panties prevented further indecent exposure, because it could have been worse for the belly dancer whose skirt fell down if she did not wear any panties.

Wearing shorts that are skin-tight may not be a good idea, because the back of the shorts could rip, resulting in underwear getting exposed. One must wonder how would Peach respond to other people's reactions to her ripped shorts.

Pantsing images are quite common, and many of these images are considered inappropriate, even if the panties that got exposed were bikini bottoms.

In the Splatoon series, Inklings dissolve in water, which explains the orange ink puddle and the floating Squid Girl swimsuit in the swimming pool.

Since 2021, Smurf accounts have been the targets of the banhammer because Smurf accounts ruin gaming experiences for many people.

Toad deserves to get stabbed by Link, Cloud, Yuko and Schezo for being a potentially destructive parasite in the guise of a helpless but irritating nuisance.

Animal Crossing Villagers do not like being stuck in pitfalls, and the male Villager is shocked after getting stuck in a pitfall.

Many Fall Guys players keep falling off the edge in stages that are suspended in the sky.

Forehead coin to funnel is weird because in involves pouring water through a funnel into somebody's pants. Panties were not meant to get wet, unless they were bikini bottoms.

When I went on a cruise ship in 2013, I went to watch an ice skating performance. A female ice skater took her removable skirt off her leotard near the end of the show.

The armors from Mario Strikers Charged are bulletproof and do not crack, in contrast to the brittle armors from Ghosts'n Goblins.

Boyshorts panties that look like the shorts worn by Pyra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 actually exist. They may be tiny, but they are more modest than conventional panties. Even wearing a tiny pair of shorts as tiny as the one worn by Pyra under skirts or dresses helps to prevent panty shots.

Icons of the post-1990s era

Author's Note: All copyrights for the images in this comic go to their respective owners.

There are some pop culture icons that made their debut after the last day of 1999 ended. For example,Waluigi debuted in 2000 with Mario Tennis for the N64. The first Animal Crossing was released in 2001, the same year Microsoft's XBox was launched. The Miis made their debut with the Wii's launch in 2006, and the first Minecraft video on YouTube was uploaded in 2009.

Thrown Weapons

Throwing weapons featured in this comic: Throwing axe (Castlevania), lance-shaped javelin (Ghosts'n Goblins), dagger (Castlevania, Ghosts'n Goblins), stick grenade (Metal Slug), large shuriken (Ninja Gaiden), pitfall seed (Animal Crossing).

Axes are a common sub-weapon in Castlevania, and this is showcased in Super Smash Bros Ultimate by Simon and Richter as their neutral special move.

A lance-shaped javelin would be a silly weapon, especially in Ghosts'n Goblins. Yet Sir Arthur hurls them at the bad guys without giving a thought about how silly the weapon looks. At least it's not as silly as the breakable armor Sir Arthur wears.

Daggers as a throwing weapon are very common, and are featured as weapons in Castlevania and Ghosts'n Goblins, though daggers are more popular in the latter.

Stick grenades are a powerful alternative weapon in Metal Slug available to the player from the start.

Ryu Hayabusa is known for throwing shurikens in the NES Ninja Gaiden, including large shurikens.

The pitfall seed from Animal Crossing can be thrown at opponents to ground them in the Super Smash Bros series.

In general, throwing weapons have been a staple feature throughout video game history.

Video Game Television

Credits to Norwegian RuneScape YouTuber Will Miss It for the idea for this comic.

If only there were better television shows based on video games, then only we would stop taking our TV shows for granted, including TV shows based on video games.

Here are some good TV shows based on video games that do not exist but we wished they existed:

Breaking Bubsy
Based on: Breaking Bad

Bubsy struggles to survive in a society that totally dislikes him while everyone makes his life miserable.

Everybody Hates Bubsy
Based on: Everybody Hates Chris

Similar to Breaking Bubsy, but with people who dislike Bubsy out to get him dead.

Kusoge Kombat
Based on: The Mortal Kombat cartoon

Kusoge game characters such as Wynn from Mystery of Atlantis, Gonbe and Tago from Ikki, and Spelunker, fight to the bitter end against each other for their personal survival.

So You Think You Can Fight
Based on: So You Think You Can Dance

Basically a combat-themed version of So You Think You Can Dance. Contestants have to beat up various objects such as a sandbag.

The Kloffice
Based on: The Office

Let's face it. The Kloffice will be the closest thing Klonoa will ever have to having a white-collar job, and Isabelle from Animal Crossing could just be one of his co-workers.

Last Noob Standing
Based on: Last Man Standing

The weakest characters in video game history battle each other to the death. In this case, Dan Hibiki from Street Fighter emerged victorious with Bubsy and a RuneScape Noob laying dead on the floor. Enjoy your moment of victory while you can, Dan Hibiki. You will still be considered very low in the Street Fighter character rankings list.

Whose Ability Is It Anyway
Based on: Whose Line Is It Anyway

Whose Line Is It Anyway features multiple different games performed by the performers. One of the games performed by the performers is Foreign Film Dub. In video games, cutscenes are basically the equivalent of film, which is why Foreign Cutscene Dub is one of the games performed in Whose Ability Is It Anyway.

Lemmings Invasion
Based on: Rabbids Invasion

While Rabbids Invasion revolves around the Rabbids coming to our society, Lemmings Invasion revolves around the Lemmings coming to our society. At least the Lemmings will be better than the Rabbids, assuming the Lemmings do not self-destruct...

Mii Vs Food
Based on: Man Vs Food

A Mii wearing a chef hat arms himself with a kitchen knife to slice his way through various food-based enemies, including Mr Hot Dog, Mr Egg and Mr Pickle from BurgerTime.

The Browser Wars

This show is all about Internet web browsers fighting a long war against each other. The various browsers warring against each other include Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

Super Smash Bros Supercade Smackdown
Based on: Saturday Supercade

Remember Saturday Supercade? Well, imagine if Super Smash Bros had a TV series, it would aim to relive the glory days of Saturday Supercade. This is a show we would definitely watch.

Please be mindful that this comic was designed before Microsoft announced the end of support for Internet Explorer.

Villager's Rejected Losing Animation

Yes, the Animal Crossing Player Villager cries in the Animal Crossing games starting from Wild World when emotions were introduced to the series. The sorrow emotion became their losing animation in Mario Kart 8 as well as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. However, this should also have been their losing animation in the Super Smash Bros games as well, similar to Ice Climbers sobbing when they lose being a reference to the No Bonus screen in Ice Climber. Then again, having Villager cry when he or she loses in Smash Bros will reflect badly on the Animal Crossing series...

Despair by Revelation

The truth will cause people to go into despair and even die from it.

It was revealed that in Chapter 220 of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, Clow Reed actually started the whole ordeal revolving around Princess Sakura's memories. Everything from the Clow Cards to the Clear Cards to the feathers containing Princess Sakura's memories and Fei Wong Reed's death seal are all related to each other. When it comes to magical girls having to deal with past lives, Sakura Kinomoto is no exception...

The animals of Animal Crossing may not be animals at all, but rather, the player character could possibly have a rare mental illness known as lycanthropic intermetamorphosis, where the person diagnosed with the mental illness sees people as transformed into animals. This mental illness, along with clinical lycanthrophy, was made known through a Game Theory video that claims that the animals in Animal Crossing are not animals.

The darkest secret about the Pokemon series that Game Freak never wanted the whole world to know was that the real reason for its creation was because Satoshi Tajiri went down on record that he wanted to create a series that is as popular as anything Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto came up with. No wonder Ash Ketchum's original nemesis Gary Oak was called Shigeru in the Japanese version of the Pokemon TV series, and it makes sense when Ash was also known as Satoshi. From the very beginning, Satoshi Tajiri wanted to surpass Shigeru Miyamoto, but the writers for the TV series, along with Nintendo and Game Freak will make sure this will never become a reality, because if this happens, Mario will drop dead in despair like he did in Dharkon's version of World of Light's Bad Ending. And you think the 31st of March, 2021, was going to be the end of Mario...

Perhaps the real reason behind Nintendo's mistreatment of Waluigi has something to do with Waluigi's name being an anagram for ijiwaru, which means ill-natured. No wonder Nintendo wants Waluigi to continue to wallow in self-pity over everything going right for everybody except him. Waluigi was ill-tempered and ill-natured from the very beginning. This could be the reason why Waluigi was not given an invitation to Mario's tennis tournament in Mario Tennis for the N64.

Ever wondered why hedgehogs are not allowed to be kept as pets in Singapore? That's because hedgehogs spread zoonotic diseases. This means that the villainous Eggman Empire's sworn enemy was not a blue hedgehog, but rather, the zoonotic diseases that Sonic's kind and the animals Dr Eggman had been imprisoning will be a far greater threat than the evil genius that the titular hero had to confront in many of the games in the Sonic series.

Jump Rope Challenge Costumes

For those who wonder what Jump Rope Challenge is, Jump Rope Challenge is a free Nintendo Switch game created to help gamers cope with the quarantine orders amid the current pandemic. Recently, it had a free update that added Nintendo costumes into the game. However, despite the Mario, Wario and Link costumes being added into the game, costumes based on Donkey Kong, Waluigi, Zelda and Ganondorf were not added into the game. In Zelda's case, she is hardly active in physical sports because of her duty as Hylia in mortal form. For Ganondorf's case, he cannot get along with anybody, not even other villains such as Bowser, which can explain why not only does he get shut out of Mario Kart, but he also gets disallowed from attending Bad-Anon sessions. Waluigi being omitted is simply accurate to his personality of self-pity, a feeling that everything goes right for everybody else but him. As for Donkey Kong, we do not know why a costume based on him was not included.

Gravestone Mystery

While death is not a subject covered in the Animal Crossing series, a gravestone sighting in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Direct had people wondering if a character in the series actually passed away.

The obvious go-to candidate has to be Tortimer. He's old and retired, meaning he might not have long to live since his last appearance. Another likely candidate is Frillard, who was last seen in City Folk, and in New Leaf, Dr Shrunk mentions how much he misses him. Turnip seller Joan appears to have been replaced by Daisy Mae, hinting at the possibility of Joan being deceased, given that she had been selling turnips for over 60 years, according to one of her dialogues in New Leaf. Yet some believe that the gravestone is a hint about K. K. Slider's fate, if K. K. Slider being missing from all the Animal Crossing: New Horizons trailers was any indication. However, the gravestone is a possibility that the Deserted Island is the home of Animal Crossing's resident ghost, Wisp, who had made appearances in several Animal Crossing games beginning with the GameCube version.

Looks like we will have to wait until the game launches on the Spring Equinox to find out...

Update 1: Animal Crossing: New Horizons did launch on the Spring Equinox, and it turns out that K. K. Slider is still alive. It's also confirmed that Daisy Mae is Joan's grand-daughter, although it is unknown what happened to Joan. As for the gravestone, it turns out to be a decorative item that can be crafted.

Update 2: The Version 2.0 Update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons has confirmed that Tortimer is alive and well and enjoying his retirement.

Rejected Smash Bros Alternate Costumes

Not all costumes can make the cut into the Super Smash Bros series. Despite Animal Crossing: New Leaf's Isabelle becoming playable, as well as the last two Villager alternate costumes having a skin colour change to be a reference to Animal Crossing: New Leaf's tanning mechanism, the Mario Kart 8 Villagers, who also appeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf did not get to be in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. The Villagers' sad, crying faces reflect more than just a defeat in Mario Kart 8 by finishing 7th to 12th place, it can also mean failing to qualify for the Super Smash Bros Ultimate alternate costumes lineup in the final product. And not to mention the US GameCube Animal Crossing Live Action Commercials' Villagers' costumes did not even make the cut at all. Then again, colour confusion is to blame for Super Smash Bros Ultimate having alternate costumes for every character limited to eight.
