Swimming Pool Matriarch Visual Gag Variations 7

Author's Note: Can you believe that it has been several months since the last time I posted a Matriarch of the Swimming Pool Visual Gag Variations comic? Maybe time constraints do have a very serious effect on comic production after all...

I'm very sure Sofia the First from Disney's Sofia the First is secretly a Blaster Master fangirl because the vehicle driven by Jason in the Sunsoft NES game Blaster Master was named Sophia the Third.

Remember Sakura Kinomoto's Water Jester costume from Episode 3 of Cardcaptor Sakura? This battle costume is iconic because it appeared in both the anime and the manga. Given that the main part of Sakura's Water Jester costume had to be a water-resistant dress, it's possible that the core part of the battle costume is a swimsuit.

The default female Mii and Guest F are twin sisters because their faces are totally identical. The only difference is that the default female Mii wears a red shirt while Guest F wears a pink shirt.

Given that Mario likes Italian food, this mushroom eater would definitely love lasagna, meaning Garfield is not alone.

Starting from the London 2012 edition of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, female characters get to wear gymnastics leotards that double as swimming costumes. Rosalina is playable in the gymnastics events of the Rio 2016 edition of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. However, Rosalina does not appear in the swimming events, meaning the leotard that she wears in the gymnastics events did not go for a swim at all.

Swimming in a leotard sounds like an absurd idea since leotards are not designed to go swimming. However, all of that changed when Destira designed leotards that can double as swimsuits. Therefore, Sakura Kinomoto's Water Jester leotard possibly being a swimsuit, as well as the leotards worn by the female characters doubling as swimsuits in the swimming events of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games series, makes sense now.

Video Games that belong in a recycle bin

Author's Note: All copyrights for the items featured in this comic go to their respective owners.

Not all video games of yesteryear are worth collecting. Some of them are so horrendous that they should be dumped into an E-Waste recycle bin. Here are just seven games that were better off in a recycle bin.

Bubsy 3D: This infamous game caused the death of a mediocre mascot's career. Not even The Woolies Strike Back or Atari's acquisition of Bubsy could revive the franchise.

Awesome Possum: Definitely the worst Sega Genesis game in existence, although Instruments of Chaos starring Young Indiana Jones would have been its biggest rival for that disgraceful title.

Superman 64: A horrible Nintendo 64 game that tarnished the reputation of superhero video games.

Street Fighter (Amiga version): A terrible port of a mediocre arcade game, and Ken wasn't even in this port of the original Street Fighter.

Mortal Kombat Advance: Probably the worst game in the history of the Mortal Kombat series, although it would have to contend with the Game.com port of Mortal Kombat Trilogy for the worst game in Mortal Kombat history.

Escape From Bug Island: A game so bad that some shovelware titles for the Wii are better than this abomination. Even more insulting is the fact that this game was a launch title for the Wii in Japan.

Babylon's Fall: A dumpster fire that would make you want to shut your wallets on Square Enix. It was so horrible that the servers had to close down after less than a year, and when that announcement was made, video game stores wanted people to take it off their hands for free, meaning any thief who steals a copy of Babylon's Fall without getting arrested for theft will be left in despair when the servers closed its doors for good because Babylon's Fall is no longer playable after its servers closed down.

More things that are better than Internet Censorship

Author's Note: Once again, I give you another comic about things that are better than Internet Censorship. Only this time, it's about Nintendo-related products that I would rather be than to be someone who censors the Internet for any reason whatsoever.

The Game Boy Micro may have been a commercial failure, but it was the very definition of the super compact handheld console.

The Game Boy Light was basically a Game Boy Pocket with an electroluminescent backlight. Despite being confined to the Japanese market, this handheld console paved the way for the backlight version of the Game Boy Advance SP.

The mediocre sales of the GameCube meant this Nintendo console got almost no love from video game history. However, it managed to sell more units than the Sega Dreamcast. Even the Wii U's sales figures do not go anywhere near the GameCube.

Famicom consoles (Both the original and the redesign) are definitely something I would rather be not because they do not censor the Internet at all, but they have never failed to capture our imagination, even if you have never owned one before.

As the main controllers for the Wii, Wiimotes are definitely good, that's for sure.

Of course I would be better off being a Four-Ball Tee from Animal Crossing. In fact, it became one of Villager's alternate costumes in the Super Smash Bros series.

Pyra's Tiny Shorts are actually very comfy, and they would go well with a pantyhose.

Swimming Pool Matriarch Visual Gag Variations 2

Another Matriarch of the Swimming Pool visual gag variations comic? Looks like this comic could become a new Internet meme.

In Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Pyra wears a tiny pair of shorts. It was so tiny that she had to wear a pantyhose when she became playable in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. However, Pyra's tiny shorts are actually comfortable. They just look rather silly, though.

People wonder how Tekken elements such as Kazuya Mishima being a playable character as well as a Heihachi Mishima Wig for Mii Fighters and a Heihachi Mishima Mii Brawler costume could be included in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Well, Tekken's history on Nintendo platforms began with Tekken Advance for the Game Boy Advance, although this was eclipsed by the Wii U Edition of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 in terms of popularity, but still, as the first Tekken game on a Nintendo platform, Tekken Advance remains an important footnote in Tekken history.

Did you know that kokeshi dolls were the main inspiration for the Miis that became the digital avatars for the Nintendo Wii, 3DS, Wii U and Switch consoles? Unlike the kokeshi dolls which do not have arms or legs, Miis have protruding limbs for arms and legs.

Relegating an advertising mascot to the sidelines for 17 years for being too scary is surely not the right thing to do for Ken Kutaragi. That was how Polygon Man became a malevolent being who seeks to take over Sony.

The original Street Fighter had Ryu and Ken as playable characters. It also had many ports, most of which are almost unplayable as compared to the barely playable Arcade version, and Ken does not even appear in the Amiga and Amstrad CPC versions.

While the MSX computer was associated with Sony and Panasonic, Fujitsu was also one of the manufacturers of the MSX computer. In fact, Fujitsu manufactured the MSX as the FM-X alongside their competing computing range, in the form of the FM-7, FM-8 and FM-77.

Icons of the post-1990s era

Author's Note: All copyrights for the images in this comic go to their respective owners.

There are some pop culture icons that made their debut after the last day of 1999 ended. For example,Waluigi debuted in 2000 with Mario Tennis for the N64. The first Animal Crossing was released in 2001, the same year Microsoft's XBox was launched. The Miis made their debut with the Wii's launch in 2006, and the first Minecraft video on YouTube was uploaded in 2009.

More Rare Gems from the Bargain Bin

The Commodore VIC-20 was not as fondly remembered as the Commodore C64, but it definitely deserves some respect for being the precursor to the iconic C64.

Poor Luigi. He just cannot get enough of the injustices Nintendo is doing to him. Just because he is merely a similarity, does not mean you have the right to make him suffer. Then again, it was his fault that the Year of Luigi made Nintendo lose $456 million, which justifies Nintendo's vindictive disdain towards Luigi. And if anybody wants to find a special Wiimote in a bargain bin, you will most likely find Luigi Wiimotes in the bargain bin.

Was it necessary for Nintendo to come up with a Wii Mini? That version of the Wii was disappointing compared to other versions of the Wii. Therefore, finding the Wii Mini inside a bargain bin would be justifiable.

As if Luigi wasn't the only person Nintendo likes to mistreat, his purple arch-rival Waluigi is being mistreated by Nintendo even more than the green guy. If you are looking for Super Mario series T-shirts in the bargain bin, expect to find mostly Luigi or Waluigi T-shirts.

Normally, Data East games wouldn't end up in the bargain bin, but unlike SNK Arcade Classics, Data East Arcade Classics isn't as fondly remembered, but we should delve deeper into the history of Data East. It will help G-Mode, and perhaps Paon DP, reawaken nostalgia for Data East franchises, many of which have been dormant since Data East's demise.

Apparently, the 3rd edition of the Sega Genesis should have more respect since it was a Sega console that was on the market during the time period between the discontinuation of the Sega Saturn in North America and the North American release of the Sega Dreamcast. Basically the 3rd edition Sega Genesis was the stop-gap solution Sega's North American operations desperately needed but it was one that was sidelined by the Sega executives amid the Sega Saturn's shortcomings and the imminent launch of the Sega Dreamcast.

Rare Gems from the Bargain Bin

Author's Note: All copyrights for the items featured in this comic go to their respective owners.

While Dragon's Lair was ported to multiple platforms, it was also available as an interactive game for the DVD Player. Yet, almost nobody who owns a DVD Player bothers to get the game, which would make this item a good find if you can find one in a bargain bin, that is.

The Su Chi Pai OVA was originally below average at best when it first came out, but the passage of time has its way of vindicating history, by having Jaleco fans search for a DVD copy of the Su Chi Pai OVA. The Tekken Motion Picture from 1998 was actually good, and it was better than the live action Tekken Movie. And for those who are looking for DVDs of both OVAs, you might find them as rare items in a bargain bin.

Recently, Wii Party and Wii Party U have been getting a nostalgic resurgence through multiple videos posted on YouTube. The Wii Party series was not destined to be the next Mario Party, but it was better than Mario Party in several ways almost no one took note of. It's a huge shame that Wii Party's lifetime sales are less than Nintendo Switch Sports sales figures as at May 2023. Wii Party U's sales figures ended up doing worse than Wii Music, which was a huge shame. No wonder Nintendo started relegating Miis to the sidelines. Maybe they should stop disrespecting their loyal customers if they want to survive...

If you think Soldam was an Arcade exclusive title, then you have not heard of the Game Boy port of Soldam. This Game Boy game would be very hard to find inside the bargain bin, and even if you find one copy, it would be a very expensive item, even if its price tag has a 90% discount on it.

F-Zero GP Legend has to be the last F-Zero game in the series before F-Zero 99, if you do not count the Japan-only F-Zero Climax. Of course the Game Boy Advance F-Zero GP Legend is a game worth getting for any GameCube owner who still has the GameCube's Game Boy Player.

Sports Bra Swim Top Colors

Sports bras were not designed for swimming. However, swimwear tops based on sports bras do exist, and they are popular with triathletes and anybody who wants to wear two-piece swimwear but want more modesty.

Here are some color designs that sports bra swim tops should have. For example, the Three Crowns has become a symbol of Sweden from the Air Force to sports teams. Another popular design would be the shimabra, which would complement the shimapan knickers. In fact, two-piece swimwear based on shimabra and shimapan are largely popular. Other designs would include the shamrock, which has become a symbol of Ireland, and several video game-related content such as the Wii logo and the MSX logo.

15 Years of Waggle Power

Today marks the 15th Anniversary of Nintendo's Wii. The Wii introduced motion controls into video gaming and was the first Nintendo home console to achieve 100 million units sold, effectively bringing Nintendo back to prominence levels not seen since the N64 era. While the Wii's legacy of the Wii and its motion controls seem to be controversially divisive among the Nintendo fandom, we all have to agree to disagree over the Wii Waggle having easier controls than button-mashing due to the lower skill level required to master it.

Now you're playing with power. Waggle power. Happy 15th Anniversary, Wii.

Author's Note: Unfortunately, this comic may age poorly because the last possible date you can set on the Nintendo Wii's calendar is 31/12/2035. This means the Wii's clock will not work properly after 2035, meaning the Wii will not function properly by the time it turns 30.

Third Strike

Baseball and bowling are sports featured in the Wii Sports series, with bowling being in all three games in the series, while baseball is omitted from Wii Sports Resort. Both sports, however, happen to have different perspectives about getting the third strike.

In baseball, getting three strikes in a row means you're out. In bowling, getting three strikes in a row means you scored a turkey. Talk about negative and positive perspectives...

Video Game Television

Credits to Norwegian RuneScape YouTuber Will Miss It for the idea for this comic.

If only there were better television shows based on video games, then only we would stop taking our TV shows for granted, including TV shows based on video games.

Here are some good TV shows based on video games that do not exist but we wished they existed:

Breaking Bubsy
Based on: Breaking Bad

Bubsy struggles to survive in a society that totally dislikes him while everyone makes his life miserable.

Everybody Hates Bubsy
Based on: Everybody Hates Chris

Similar to Breaking Bubsy, but with people who dislike Bubsy out to get him dead.

Kusoge Kombat
Based on: The Mortal Kombat cartoon

Kusoge game characters such as Wynn from Mystery of Atlantis, Gonbe and Tago from Ikki, and Spelunker, fight to the bitter end against each other for their personal survival.

So You Think You Can Fight
Based on: So You Think You Can Dance

Basically a combat-themed version of So You Think You Can Dance. Contestants have to beat up various objects such as a sandbag.

The Kloffice
Based on: The Office

Let's face it. The Kloffice will be the closest thing Klonoa will ever have to having a white-collar job, and Isabelle from Animal Crossing could just be one of his co-workers.

Last Noob Standing
Based on: Last Man Standing

The weakest characters in video game history battle each other to the death. In this case, Dan Hibiki from Street Fighter emerged victorious with Bubsy and a RuneScape Noob laying dead on the floor. Enjoy your moment of victory while you can, Dan Hibiki. You will still be considered very low in the Street Fighter character rankings list.

Whose Ability Is It Anyway
Based on: Whose Line Is It Anyway

Whose Line Is It Anyway features multiple different games performed by the performers. One of the games performed by the performers is Foreign Film Dub. In video games, cutscenes are basically the equivalent of film, which is why Foreign Cutscene Dub is one of the games performed in Whose Ability Is It Anyway.

Lemmings Invasion
Based on: Rabbids Invasion

While Rabbids Invasion revolves around the Rabbids coming to our society, Lemmings Invasion revolves around the Lemmings coming to our society. At least the Lemmings will be better than the Rabbids, assuming the Lemmings do not self-destruct...

Mii Vs Food
Based on: Man Vs Food

A Mii wearing a chef hat arms himself with a kitchen knife to slice his way through various food-based enemies, including Mr Hot Dog, Mr Egg and Mr Pickle from BurgerTime.

The Browser Wars

This show is all about Internet web browsers fighting a long war against each other. The various browsers warring against each other include Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

Super Smash Bros Supercade Smackdown
Based on: Saturday Supercade

Remember Saturday Supercade? Well, imagine if Super Smash Bros had a TV series, it would aim to relive the glory days of Saturday Supercade. This is a show we would definitely watch.

Please be mindful that this comic was designed before Microsoft announced the end of support for Internet Explorer.

35 Years in 8 Pictures

Author's Note: Having observed people portraying past years in meme form, I decided to come up with my own portrayal of past years. Here's how the last 35 years are portrayed in 8 pictures, now in comic form.

1986: Back when Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union, a reactor in the Chernobyl nuclear power station exploded, rendering the nearby town of Pripyat uninhabitable. It turns out that Chernobyl was a terrible name for a nuclear power station because Chernobyl in Russian means "wormwood", which is synonymous with bitterness.

1991: A pivotal year for the Allies as they not only defeated the Iraqi Army in Operation Desert Storm, but the Allies rejoiced over Russia throwing in the towel as a result of the Soviet Union's collapse.

1996: Metal Slug's launch gave the Neo Geo arcade cabinet, and the run and gun genre, a new lease of life. Metal Slug was also known for iconic quotes such as "Heavy Machine Gun!" and has since become an icon of the SNK community.

2001: The day the worst terrorist attack in history happened on American soil was believed to be the day the biblical end times began. Since then, America was never the same again.

2006: Nintendo launched the Wii console, which went on to be the first Nintendo home console to have unit sales that surpassed 100 million units sold.

2011: Japan's worst earthquake, tsunami and nuclear reactor explosion combo left several parts of the country's east coast devastated, and the area around the nuclear power station damaged by the tsunami was rendered uninhabitable as a result.

2016: The United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union. Nobody, not even those who advocated for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union expected the "Leave" camp to emerge victorious.

2021: The year the European Union Copyright Directive, as well as Japan's copyright regulations that prohibits manga piracy, comes into force. Everybody fears that the copyright regulations will censor the Internet by getting rid of copyright infringement first before turning their attention towards those who call the European Union undemocratic, which they obviously are.
