Monochrome Confusion

If there were any games that would not be suitable for monochrome handhelds such as the Game Boy and the WonderSwan, it had to be the Puyo Puyo series. Shape recognition can be challenging for some gamers, especially in Puyo Puyo—a game that combine Tetris and Connect Four, where the Puyo disappear when four or more of the same color connect. Therefore, the monochrome versions of Puyo Puyo games had an unexpected increase in difficulty as a result of Puyo Puyo being a game where the Puyo only vanish if four or more of the same color connect to each other.

Swimies Under Bloomers

In PuyOlympics, Arle wears a pair of panty-shaped bloomers during most of the game's sporting events. When it comes to swimming, she wears a two-piece swimsuit that's designed for competition swimming. If Arle had to change into her swimming costume, she would have said that she had been wearing her bikini swimies underneath her buruma after taking off her panty-shaped buruma.

Skirt Drop

If Arle saw a drowning person at the beach, she would undress herself into her swimwear starting with a skirt drop in order to save the drowning person. This is exactly what happened at the beginning of Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-ne, where Madoka Kyouno saw a drowning person at the beach and undressed herself into her school swimsuit starting with a skirt dro when she had to save the drowning person.

This is how Madoka Kyouno started undressing herself when she had to save the drowning person:

If Arle did the exact same thing, one could imagine what swimies Arle is wearing under her skirt. The first possible choice has to be her two-piece swimsuit from PuyoLympics. It's also possible Arle is wearing a striped bikini. Still, there is a possibility that Arle is wearing a scale mail bikini. Whatever it is, Arle will always undress herself into her swimwear when it comes to saving a drowning person.

Two Panties

Author's Note: The panties in this comic are not panties to begin with. Rather, the panty in the first panel that Arle took off in the middle panel is a buruma, while the panty in the last panel is the bottom part of her two-piece swimsuit. Both of these sports attires come from the Puyo Puyo sports spin-off PuyoLympics.

Bondi Beach Swimwear

If there was one beach synonymous with summer in Australia, it has to be Bondi Beach. However, Bondi Beach isn't the only beach in Australia. There are many more other beaches in Australia, with the beaches in Gold Coast being the most notable ones.

No visit to any of Australia's beaches is complete without being dressed in swimwear. The strapless one-piece swimsuits from MapleStory's Cash Shop are a great choice, and so is the two-piece swimsuit worn by Arle in PuyoLympics. These swimsuits are also suitable for the Ice Bucket Challenge as well. That's why swimwear, Australian beaches and the Ice Bucket Challenge go hand in hand.

The Weird Side of the Web

The Internet can sometimes be a weird place, and here are just twelve images that define Internet weirdness.

There were occasions where belly dancers' skirts fell down, resulting in their panties getting exposed. It's a good thing the panties prevented further indecent exposure, because it could have been worse for the belly dancer whose skirt fell down if she did not wear any panties.

Wearing shorts that are skin-tight may not be a good idea, because the back of the shorts could rip, resulting in underwear getting exposed. One must wonder how would Peach respond to other people's reactions to her ripped shorts.

Pantsing images are quite common, and many of these images are considered inappropriate, even if the panties that got exposed were bikini bottoms.

In the Splatoon series, Inklings dissolve in water, which explains the orange ink puddle and the floating Squid Girl swimsuit in the swimming pool.

Since 2021, Smurf accounts have been the targets of the banhammer because Smurf accounts ruin gaming experiences for many people.

Toad deserves to get stabbed by Link, Cloud, Yuko and Schezo for being a potentially destructive parasite in the guise of a helpless but irritating nuisance.

Animal Crossing Villagers do not like being stuck in pitfalls, and the male Villager is shocked after getting stuck in a pitfall.

Many Fall Guys players keep falling off the edge in stages that are suspended in the sky.

Forehead coin to funnel is weird because in involves pouring water through a funnel into somebody's pants. Panties were not meant to get wet, unless they were bikini bottoms.

When I went on a cruise ship in 2013, I went to watch an ice skating performance. A female ice skater took her removable skirt off her leotard near the end of the show.

The armors from Mario Strikers Charged are bulletproof and do not crack, in contrast to the brittle armors from Ghosts'n Goblins.

Boyshorts panties that look like the shorts worn by Pyra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 actually exist. They may be tiny, but they are more modest than conventional panties. Even wearing a tiny pair of shorts as tiny as the one worn by Pyra under skirts or dresses helps to prevent panty shots.

Madou Monogatari Reunion

It finally happened. The original Madou Monogatari series that Sega's Puyo Puyo originated from has gotten a new entry 25 years after the launch of the Sega Saturn Madou Monogatari, which happens to be published by Sega. All of this would not have been possible if not for Compile Heart, D4 Enterprises and Sega agreeing to come together to revive Madou Monogatari.

All we have to say about this is "Welcome Back, Arle."

Tentacle Crime 3

Characters getting molested by a Blooper in this comic, from top to bottom: Samus (In her two-piece swimsuit from the Metroid Zero Mission ending), Arle (PuyOlympics bikini), Peach (In her Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games swimsuit), Daisy (In her Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games swimsuit), Elena (Street Fighter 3).

Yet another comic about a Blooper molesting female characters? This Blooper is going to be in serious trouble with the police, and nobody wants to get captured by the police these days...

Stab The Eggman

Wielders of swords stabbing Dr Eggman: Schezo Wegey (Puyo Puyo), Yuko Asou (Valis), Guts (Berserk), Kirito (Sword Art Online).

Schezo had already stabbed Dr Eggman before, but that was the Sega Mega Drive version of Dr Eggman who got stabbed. In this comic, the Dr Eggman that is being stabbed in this comic is the version whose design debuted in Sonic Adventure and has since been the design Sonic fans are all familiar with.

Ready For The Ice Buckets

Another comic about wearing swimwear for the Ice Bucket Challenge? Guess swimwear and buckets filled with ice water go hand in hand.

If Arle was to wear a bikini for the Ice Bucket Challenge, she would prefer to wear a striped bikini. After all, striped bikinis are popular in Japanese pop culture, just like the female underwear their color pattern was based on.

Samus isn't the only person who is not afraid to be seen wearing an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka-dot bikini. Princess Daisy is wearing a yellow polka-dot bikini for the Ice Bucket Challenge, meaning she is also not afraid to be seen wearing a yellow polka-dot bikini.

Rosalina saying that her strapless bikini is ready for the Ice Bucket Challenge is another reference to the famous "My Body Is Ready" quote by Reggie Fils-Aime.

Sakura Kinomoto prefers to wear a triathlon bikini because she is not ready for any real fanservice yet as she is still currently in middle school. However, a triathlon bikini does strike a balance between modesty and fanservice. Therefore, she should be fine.

But that's not all. Their bikinis would have no problem getting wet when it comes to doing forehead coin to funnel, because bikinis are designed for getting wet. To quote Princess Kida from Disney's Atlantis when she took off her skirt before going for a swim, "You do swim, do you not?"

Sports Bra Swim Top Colors

Sports bras were not designed for swimming. However, swimwear tops based on sports bras do exist, and they are popular with triathletes and anybody who wants to wear two-piece swimwear but want more modesty.

Here are some color designs that sports bra swim tops should have. For example, the Three Crowns has become a symbol of Sweden from the Air Force to sports teams. Another popular design would be the shimabra, which would complement the shimapan knickers. In fact, two-piece swimwear based on shimabra and shimapan are largely popular. Other designs would include the shamrock, which has become a symbol of Ireland, and several video game-related content such as the Wii logo and the MSX logo.

30 Years of Puyo Puyo

Can you believe it's been 30 years since the now-defunct Compile released a puzzle spin-off of Madou Monogatari that ultimately became Sega's best-selling franchise that's not Sonic the Hedgehog? In fact, unlike Sonic, Puyo Puyo is the best Sega IP that does not have a tarnished reputation. It just had to wait until their crossover with Tetris to finally make their big time entrance in the international market, which the series had been waiting for since Puyo Pop Fever.

Happy 30th Anniversary, Puyo Puyo. You are by far better than Sonic the Hedgehog.

The War for the Final DLC Slot

Now that Tekken's Kazuya has taken the penultimate Fighters Pass Volume 2 character slot, one question remains. Who will the final
Fighters Pass Volume 2 character be? And no, Sakurai is not telling who it will be during his presentation on Kazuya Mishima.

However, here are my eight candidates for the final Fighters Pass Volume 2 character, and six of them, including honorable mention Dirk the Daring, were from my Fighters Pass Volume 2 candidates comic. All they need to do now is to get into a huge all-out war for the final Fighters Pass Volume 2 character slot and we will finally be done and over with Super Smash Bros Ultimate's DLC so that we can prepare for an even bigger war to come.

Update: Sora from Kingdom Hearts qualified for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, meaning none of the characters in this comic will be in Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

Stabbed By Schezo 2

If there was any one person Schezo should stab, it would be Professor Oak's grandson Blue. Blue was the basis for Ash's original nemesis Gary because Blue bullied Red in the Generation 1 Pokemon games. Gary's death at the hands of Schezo was covered by a previous comic about Schezo's stabbings. Therefore, stabbing Blue to death will deliver justice for Red and millions of Pokemon fans worldwide.

Disappointed by the Fairly OddParents series finale? Vicky should perish for all the bullying she did to Timmy Turner, and Schezo the white-haired swordfighter from Puyo Puyo would be the right executioner for the job.

Magikoopas are warlocks who transmute brick blocks into various objects including coins, super mushrooms, fire flowers, and enemies such as Goombas and Koopa Troopas. The most prominent Magikoopa is Kamek, who has been a recurring antagonist in the Mario games since Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. He could be the culprit behind Bowser's villainy. But then again, he was one of the few people who witnessed the Goombas turning traitorous because of the Toads bullying and persecuting them. Unfortunately, Kamek would definitely be on Schezo's target list because Schezo would be better off venting his anger on Nintendo villains in the name of vengeance for Sega's exit from hardware production.

Bowser should perish already after more than 35 years of being up to no good. From my perspective, Nintendo's villains should be the ones suffering the wrath of angry video game players who dislike villains so much that the only good villain is a permanently dead one. Also, if Nintendo dislikes us because of our alleged violation of copyright law and our so-called acts of intellectual property piracy, then Nintendo's villains are going to suffer the wrath of those who dislike them so much that they want the villains dead, and Schezo seems to be the right person for that job, because he would like to impale Nintendo's villains in the name of vengeance for Sega.

Stabbed By Schezo

Note to self: Wearing red or black will hide bloodstains.

Let's face it. Professor Samuel Oak lied to everybody who went on a quest to become the very best that no one ever was. Not to mention that not only was he originally going to be the endgame in Pokemon Red and Blue, but he was actually a very terrible mentor to many people, including his own grandson, and let's not forget about his nepotism. That's why Schezo Wegey from Puyo Puyo should impale him.

Don't worry about King Arthur. Even if Schezo impaled him, only his armour will break, but he would still be just fine. This was demonstrated in Project X Zone, where King Arthur got caught in a world-destroying blast, but only his armour got destroyed, and he was still intact in his underwear.

Schezo's stabbing spree wouldn't be complete without a Sega character, or in this case, a villainous Sega character. And no Sega villain is more prominent than Dr Ivo Eggman Robotnik. The Dr Eggman featured in this comic getting stabbed is the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive version.

If Game Theory taught me anything, the Toads from the Super Mario series could actually be a far bigger threat than Bowser would ever be since 1985. Not only did they insult Mario, Luigi and many people who played Super Mario Bros by telling them that their princess is in another castle, but it turns out that they are not mushrooms at all, and possibly parasites. If Toad insulted Schezo, Toad would definitely get stabbed by the white-haired sword-fighter.

Ash Ketchum's original nemesis Gary "Shigeru" Oak must die for all those times he bullied Ash and for all the Pokemon fans, myself included, that he tormented since 1996, by getting impaled by Schezo, and I don't care if this grandson of Professor Oak was named after Mario's creator Shigeru Miyamoto. Justice must be delivered, whether it is too morbid or not.

Speaking of Shigeru Miyamoto, it turns out that he actually liked Waluigi. Also, Masahiro Sakurai did not say that he disliked Waluigi. It was because Waluigi was a very unsympathetic character, and Luigi's self-proclaimed rival has to suffer huge levels of misfortune for being mean-spirited. Waluigi was portrayed as the most unlikable character in the "Brawl in the Family" webcomic. Therefore, Schezo should impale Waluigi and put him out of his misery.

Revealing Innerwear

This was based on a piece of Puyo Puyo fan art where Schezo pulled down Arle's skirt, revealing her striped panties. Nobody was sure if Arle was wearing panties or swimwear, but I do wish the uploader could have given a description before it became unsearchable.

Puyo Puyo Tetris

Author's Note: If you can understand Russian, the comic's title reads "Puyo Puyo Tetris," the Puyo are saying "Puyo Puyo" and the last panel has the word "Splat" spelled in Russian. And yes, this comic was originally created to commemorate the launch of Puyo Puyo Tetris. In other words, well done, Sega. You actually created one of the best Tetris games ever made.

Too Skimpy?

Skimpy costumes featured from left to right starting with the top row:

Row 1: The Justin Bailey leotard that happens to be what Samus wears in the second-best ending of Metroid (Metroid, 1986, Famicom Disk System, NES), Tyris Flare's bikini (without vambraces) (Golden Axe, 1989, Arcade, Sega Genesis), Hiromi's leotard (without armour) (Burning Force, 1989, Arcade), Silk's bikini (Cotton Series, 1991, various platforms starting with the Arcade), the green leotard worn by Celes (without belt and cape) (Final Fantasy VI, 1994, various platforms starting with the SNES).

Row 2: The swimsuit worn by Arle in the Puyo Puyo CD system version error screen (Puyo Puyo CD, 1994, TurboGrafx CD), Twinkle's leotard (Puzzle Bobble 3/Bust-A-Move 3, 1996, various platforms starting with the Arcade), Arle's PuyoLympics attire (PuyoLympics, 1998, PC), Arle's two-piece swimsuit in PuyoLympics (PuyoLympics, 1998, PC)Metroid Fusion ending outfit (Metroid Fusion, 2002, Game Boy Advance).

Row 3: Rikku's yellow bikini (Final Fantasy X-2, 2003, PlayStation 2), Metroid: Zero Mission ending outfit (Metroid: Zero Mission, 2004, Game Boy Advance), Peach's soccer attire (Super Mario Strikers, 2005, GameCube), Daisy's soccer attire (without armour) (Mario Strikers Charged, 2007, Wii).

Having female characters wear skimpy costumes sounds ridiculous, if the last panel was anything. However, the skimpy costumes are not the problem. It's the scenarios that the attires worn by the characters that make the video game players question the appropriateness of such costumes.

Note: Although this comic covers the topic on skimpy female costumes featured in video games from 1986 to 2007, not all skimpy female costumes found in video games from that time period are featured in this comic, with the biggest omission being Super Metroid's ending outfit, which was featured in a comic posted earlier on this blog.

Fighters Pass Volume 2 Potential Candidates

Author's Note: These characters are my pick for Super Smash Bros Ultimate's Fighters Pass Volume 2. For those wondering why are Fighters Pass outsiders being considered for DLC, that's because Piranha Plant is currently the only DLC character who is not part of the Fighters Pass Volume 1 DLC package, as well as the fact that there will be more DLC characters after the completion of Fighters Pass Volume 1.

Given that Bandai Namco is currenty the lead development studio in Smash Bros production, Klonoa will have higher priority over the other five characters in Fighters Pass Volume 2, although his Wind Bullet would cause problems regarding character inflation.

In regards to Arle, she will be a far better Sega representative than Sonic and Bayonetta combined, especially when Puyo Puyo is the only Sega franchise doing better than Sonic.

Similar to how Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters brought in music from various SNK games, including those from Metal Slug into Smash Bros, Rit from Rod Land and Soldam would introduce Jaleco music to Smash Bros.

Just like Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Lana from Hyrule Warriors came from another Koei Tecmo-developed game. However, I will expect her trailer to be received with more positive reception than Byleth's trailer.

Contra's Bill Rizer would be very unlikely, despite the popularity of Contra and the Konami Code on Nintendo consoles, because Masahiro Sakurai does not want any realistic guns in Smash Bros.

And finally, Sir Arthur will be yet another unlikely character because his armour break mechanic will complicate the gameplay mechanics, and being reduced to a pile of bones will be too disturbing for younger audiences.

Update 1: The first Fighters Pass Volume 2 character is confirmed to be Min Min from ARMS, so one of these six characters will not make the cut, and it's most likely the one with the realistic guns.

Update 2: Steve from Minecraft, along with Alex, a Zombie and an Enderman, are filling the second Fighters Pass Volume 2 slot, meaning another candidate will not make the cut.

Update 3: Cloud's arch-rival Sephiroth has been confirmed to be the third character in Fighters Pass Volume 2. This means yet another character will not make the cut.

Update 4: Pyra and Mythra have booked their spots, and Sir Arthur's armour is a Mii Swordfighter costume. Surprisingly enough, it does not break apart unlike the armours in the Ghosts'n Goblins series.

Update 5: Heihachi Mishima's son Kazuya is going to represent Tekken in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. In my honest opinion, the second Bandai Namco rep should have been Klonoa.

Update 6: Sora from Kingdom Hearts is the final Fighters Pass character, meaning the leakers' claims that Sora was going to get that final slot were right all along. This means none of Neo Retro Union's candidates for Super Smash Bros Ultimate's DLC character slots qualified at all...

Klonoa © Bandai Namco. Arle © Sega. Rit © City Connection (Because they currently own the rights to Jaleco's Franchises). Lana © Nintendo. Bill Rizer © Konami. Sir Arthur © Capcom.

Sports that should have been

These sports should probably be added into the Olympic Games starting from Tokyo 2020 onwards, if that is, these fusions of certain events in existing sports would work in practice.

Maybe these fusion sports will be accepted in the Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games series, and hopefully, there will be Zelda and Puyo Puyo guest stars in the Tokyo 2020 edition game. So please, add Arle from Puyo Puyo into the Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games series, Sega, even if Nintendo is the current publisher of future titles in the Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games series.

Here is a picture of Arle in her gymnastics and swimming attire that I drew:

That was why I made her the girl featured in this comic featuring new variations of the diving sport featured in official aquatics tournaments, in which the springboard was substituted for elements from gymnastics and pole vault. For those wondering why would someone wear gymnastics attire for water sports, the female characters in the Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games series were wearing their gymnastics costumes for swimming as well. In the case of a diver doing pole vaulting, it could be possibly due to the female athletics attire looking like swimwear, possibly because some of the shorts worn by the female athletes look like panties.

Issues aside, I think fusion sports will be the future of sports tournaments, if new sports need to be invented or current ones need a new variation.

Update: Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo Edition has finally been released, but no Zelda or Puyo Puyo characters are featured in that game.
