Smacked By Rune Warhammers

Characters that are about to get smacked by an Old School RuneScape Rune Warhammer wielded by a Rabbid from the Rabbids series, from left to right: Toad (Super Mario Bros), Crazy Redd (Animal Crossing), Louie (Pikmin), Mugger (RuneScape), Buddy (Kick the Buddy).

It's possible that the Toads from Super Mario Bros are a far greater threat than all of the Koopa Troop's ringleaders combined because of whatever parasites they could have been harbouring since 1985. And to think that telling us that Princess Peach is in another castle was the worst thing Toad did to the Mario fans...

Animal Crossing fans have always made no secret of their disdain for Crazy Redd and his many scams. It's a pity we don't even get to give him any comeuppance whatsoever...

I'm very sure Louie was the true antagonist of the Pikmin series right from the start, if Pikmin 2, Pikmin 3 and Pikmin 4 were anything...

Muggers should die over 9000 times for terrorizing millions of RuneScape players. Period.

Buddy from Kick the Buddy was always destined to get beaten up many times over, and a Rabbid smacking him with a Rune Warhammer is just one of those methods of beating up Buddy...

With all that said, I would feel sorry for Buddy from Kick the Buddy. As for all the other characters that are about to get smacked by a Rabbid wielding a Rune Warhammer, they all deserved to get destroyed by the Rabbid, and I do not feel sorry for them.

The Consequences of Justice

If there was any reason Gary Oak was never punished for all the wrongs he did to Ash Ketchum by the time Ash's Journey ended, it's because giving Gary any comeuppance whatsoever will be a grave insult to Shigeru Miyamoto. After all, if Gary Oak dies, the entire Miyamotoverse that Shigeru Miyamoto conceived when he came up with Donkey Kong in 1981 will perish as well. Talk about the grave consequences of justice...

P.S. Satoshi Tajiri stated that if Ash finally wins, it will be over because it's possible becoming a Pokemon Master is the moment right before you die.

The Outsider Who Aspired To Surpass Miyamoto

Ever wondered why the writers who worked on the Pokemon TV series were unkind towards Ash Ketchum? That's because the Pokemon creator is even more of an outsider than Waluigi. This also explains why the writers believed Ash could not defeat Gary. They always think Satoshi Tajiri could never overtake Shigeru Miyamoto. However, many Pokemon fans were left with a Surprised Pikachu Face when Ash did beat Gary. Yet Gary still wants to torment Ash by asking a hard question about how close did Ash come to becoming a Pokemon Master when Ash's Journey was approaching its end.

At the end of the day, Satoshi Tajiri could never surpass Shigeru Miyamoto because the creator of Super Mario Bros was also known for conceiving Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda and Pikmin. Not to mention Gary Oak's namesake does not hate Waluigi at all. He just thinks Waluigi does not fit in the Wario series either.

Belonging in a Museum

Let's face it. Hocotate's museums will be more than happy to take in all the non-organic treasures throughout the history of the Pikmin franchise. This includes Nintendo-related memorabilia such as the Super Mario World key, and the SD cards that have been used as storage devices for Nintendo handhelds such as the DSi, DSi XL, 3DS, 3DS XL and 2DS. Remarkable for a franchise revolving around leaf-headed creatures, isn't it?

Rejected Pikmin Treasures

While there are many treasures in the Pikmin games that are based on real life objects, not all treasures based on real life objects made the cut for the final versions of any Pikmin game. Here are five objects that were left out of both Pikmin 2 and Hey! Pikmin.

Striped bikini: Japan's obsession with striped lingerie, in particular, striped panties, may have made striped bikinis popular as well. But Nintendo does not want anything that could give any of their games a "Mature" rating.

Bloomers: In Japan, bloomers looked like panties, which could explain why they're so popular in Japanese pop culture. Similarly to the striped bikini, the bloomers could potentially cause a game to get a "Mature" rating.

Floppy disk: If Olimar and his Pikmin friends could come across Famicom Disk System disks, NES cartridges, Game Boy cartridges, an SD card, a computer mouse, and many other electronics components, why a floppy disk was not included in either Pikmin 2 or Hey! Pikmin, we do not know.

Vitamin jar: Dr Mario is a game where you use coloured megavitamins to eliminate viruses of the same colour. Nintendo could have included an empty jar with the coloured pills label still on it in either Pikmin 2 or Hey! Pikmin, to add a reference to Dr Mario, but they chose not to, probably for reasons why the "Arboreal Frippery" had its colour changed from green to red for the European/Australian version of Pikmin 2.

Axe head: We all know the story of how Elisha caused an axe head to float. Therefore, an axe head should have been one of the treasures in Pikmin 2. But there are many problems with having a treasure based on an axe head. Axe heads are heavy, and would probably need to be carried by Purple Pikmin. If the axe head is in water, only Blue Pikmin can retreive the axe head as they do not drown unlike other coloured Pikmin. Also, axes are sharp, and the blade area would hurt anyone who touches it. With all these problems, the axe head had to be omitted from the final version of Pikmin 2.

Microcassette

If you want to know what the Parting Tape from Hey! Pikmin is, it is actually a microcassette. Not to be confused with a compact cassette, which appears in the game as the Sonic Relaxant.

Microcassettes are audio storage devices that are smaller than compact cassettes. They were created in 1969 as a smaller alternative to the compact cassette for audio recording. However, many factors, including new technology made the microcassette obsolete by the late 1990s, and by the time Hey! Pikmin was launched for the Nintendo 3DS, it would make sense for audio cassette tapes, including microcassettes, to be categorised as forgotten "treasures" that Olimar and his Pikmin encounter, because audio cassette tapes have become obsolete due to new technology.

The Truth About Pikmin Series Treasures

The Pikmin series is more than just a video game series about an astronaut (or cosmonaut for Russian readers) named Olimar meeting the titular leaf/bud/flower-headed sprites. The treasures that Olimar and the Pikmin encounter are based on objects found in real life, indicating that whichever planet Olimar crashed on once had human life on them. Another clue that supports the theory that PNF-404 was Earth in a life after humans was that Olimar had a Geiger Counter, which is used to measure radiation. Given that the Geiger Counter was going wild and letting out a lot of noise, this could be proof that PNF-404 could be Earth in a life after humans perished from high radiation levels.

Speaking of real life objects, some of these treasures found in the Pikmin games are video game-related items including game cartridges, a game disk, controller parts, parts that used to be R.O.B. the Robotic Operating Buddy (The head and the gyro blocks) and a Game and Watch handheld (The game in particular being Ball). There are references to other Nintendo franchises, mostly from the Mario series, with the most notable one being Mario Paint. While batteries and an SD card, which are featured as treasures, are not video game items, some of the batteries featured as treasures were the power source for some models of the Game Boy handhelds (excluding the Game Boy Advance SP and Game Boy Micro), and the SD card was a storage device for the DSi, DSi XL, 3DS, 3DS XL and 2DS handhelds. A few of the treasures in Pikmin 2 reappeared in Pikmin 3 as fruits, with all of them being from the fruit-themed Succulent Series. This could be a hint that whichever planet inhabited by Pikmin (excluding Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour) once had human life on them.
