Opinions on Brexit

If there are any countries that will approve of the United Kingdom's decision to leave the European Union, it's Switzerland and Norway. Of course these two countries will approve of Brexit because Switzerland and Norway are not part of the European Union. Belgium, on the other hand, will disapprove of Brexit because Brussels, the Belgian capital city, is the headquarters of the European Union. However, many people do not see who the true power inside Brussels really is, and those that do had their political careers cut short. So much for Germany being reunited under democracy when those who uphold democracy were in the minority before reunification.

At the end of the day, Margaret Thatcher may have been right to say "You did not anchor Germany to Europe. You have anchored Europe to a newly dominant, unified Germany. In the end, my friends, you'll find it will not work."

Breaking Belgium

Remember when I made a comic about what will happen to Wallonia and Flanders when Belgium breaks in two? Well, I'm back with a new comic concerning the future of Belgium.

If Belgium were to break up in the near future, it will plunge Europe into chaos far worse than the conflict in Ukraine. In fact, Europe will be plunged into a far worse crisis than World War 2, and it could bring about the end of the world as we know it...

Update: Belgians voted, and Belgium did not break apart for now...

The Fate of Belgium

This. Is. It. 2024 is here. The year Belgium had been fearing since the 2019 federal elections has finally begun. The question is, if Wallonia and Flanders go separate ways, will the breakup of Belgium be as peaceful as the breakup of Czechoslovakia? Or will it be as violent as the breakup of Yugoslavia? What will happen to a nation known for chocolates, waffles, Brussels sprouts, Tintin and Smurfs when it goes to the polls for what could potentially be the last time?
