Swordtember 2025 (Part 1)

Hey, folks! I have decided to jump on board the Swordtember bandwagon, so here is a comic about swords.

Remember that comic about the Glass Swords from Uncle Grandpa? Well, the Glass Sword returns for a mandatory Swordtember comic, and this time, it does not get broken.

Do you still remember the sword from the original RuneScape logo? If you still remember it from the early days of RuneScape, then you have nostalgia for a bygone era!

Did you know that bronze turns green after oxidation? This process creates a protective layer called a patina, which protects the underlying metal from further corrosion.

Kick The Noob

Characters kicking the RuneScape Noob in this comic: Sakura Kinomoto (Red Cape Leotard) (Cardcaptor Sakura), Rit (Rod Land, Soldam), Tyris Flare (Golden Axe), Volcana (Ultra Vortek).

I do not have any grudges against the RuneScape Noob in this comic. It's just that he may have been a bot user in disguise, and bots have been a big nuisance as far as legitimate RuneScape players are concerned.

Smacked By Rune Warhammers

Characters that are about to get smacked by an Old School RuneScape Rune Warhammer wielded by a Rabbid from the Rabbids series, from left to right: Toad (Super Mario Bros), Crazy Redd (Animal Crossing), Louie (Pikmin), Mugger (RuneScape), Buddy (Kick the Buddy).

It's possible that the Toads from Super Mario Bros are a far greater threat than all of the Koopa Troop's ringleaders combined because of whatever parasites they could have been harbouring since 1985. And to think that telling us that Princess Peach is in another castle was the worst thing Toad did to the Mario fans...

Animal Crossing fans have always made no secret of their disdain for Crazy Redd and his many scams. It's a pity we don't even get to give him any comeuppance whatsoever...

I'm very sure Louie was the true antagonist of the Pikmin series right from the start, if Pikmin 2, Pikmin 3 and Pikmin 4 were anything...

Muggers should die over 9000 times for terrorizing millions of RuneScape players. Period.

Buddy from Kick the Buddy was always destined to get beaten up many times over, and a Rabbid smacking him with a Rune Warhammer is just one of those methods of beating up Buddy...

With all that said, I would feel sorry for Buddy from Kick the Buddy. As for all the other characters that are about to get smacked by a Rabbid wielding a Rune Warhammer, they all deserved to get destroyed by the Rabbid, and I do not feel sorry for them.

Thinking of other things other than other ladies 3

Hey, guys. I'm back with yet another comic about my OCs in a lawyer-friendly version of the "Thinking about other women" meme.

Hebereke is a penguin, and therefore, Sunsoft would have paid his salaries in sardines and anchovies because penguins eat sardines and anchovies.

While Tectoy was known for being Brazil's distributor of Sega consoles such as the Sega Master System and the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, what we do not know is that Tectoy was also the distributor of a forgotten console called the Zeebo. Unfortunately, the Zeebo was not a commercial success due to a limited game library, with all of them being digital-only. Of course the Zeebo failed to overtake the Sega Master System and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive in Brazil.

Wollongong is definitely overlooked as far as Australian tourism is concerned. It's just 80 kilometers south of Sydney, and yet more people prefer the well known parts of Australia.

I'm very sure the Invention Skill started an arms race in RuneScape. Since its release, many players aimed for 200 million experience points in the Invention Skill.

Given that zombies are a recurring enemy in the Castlevania series, the Belmont family would definitely dislike the zombies from Plants Vs Zombies.

I'm very sure Crazy Dave from Plants Vs Zombies would end up doing well as a shopkeeper in RuneScape.

RuneScape Father's Day Gifts

Today is Father's Day, which means it's that time of the year where people honor their fathers. What better way to honor this special day than with a comic about Father's Day gifts?

If RuneScape players could give Father's Day gifts to their fathers, amulets of strength, anti-dragon shields and silver bolts would have been among those items.

RuneScape Mother's Day Gifts

Today is Mother's Day, which means it's that time of the year where people honor their mothers. What better way to honor this special day than with a comic about Mother's Day gifts?

If RuneScape players could give Mother's Day gifts to their mothers, amulets of defence, baked potatoes with cheese and summer pies would have been among those items.

The End of DarkScape

Author's Note: This comic was made in response to the announcement made by Jagex on 29 February 2016 regarding the closure of DarkScape on 28 March 2016. DarkScape is no longer available as of 28 March 2016.

The Rabbid is screaming "DAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!" over the closure of the DarkScape servers because he enjoyed going on killing sprees in DarkScape, and now this open world Player Vs Player mode is shutting down due to lack of interest, which made him very upset.

The last panel in this comic is based on the chorus of "It's the End of the World as We Know It". It talks about the end of DarkScape, and it mentioned Deadman Mode, which was possibly the reason why DarkScape lost popularity.

Open World Massacre

Author's Note: This comic was originally conceived to commemorate the launch of DarkScape and Deadman Mode. DarkScape is no longer active as of 28 March 2016.

Have you ever wished for an open world Player Vs Player experience where everyone is at war with everyone else? Well, RuneScape used to have two versions of that kind of Player Vs Player experience. The modern version received DarkScape, which sadly, ceased operations on 28 March 2016 due to lack of popularity, while Old School RuneScape received the more popular Deadman Mode, which had several tournaments since its inception, with Deadman: Armageddon being the most recent one.

While DarkScape and Deadman Mode have their differences, they both have guards that attack players that have skulls above their heads.

Maybe the real reason DarkScape died was because it lost popularity to Deadman Mode, which allows you to get a bank key to carry out bank raids by killing opponents in order to steal more loot from other players, including loot from defeated opponents.

If Awesome Possum was in Deadman Mode, he would have been a major target for player killers because he is one of the most disliked characters in video game history. That's why he is shown getting struck by a Rune Javelin in this comic.

The Rabbid wielding two Steel Longswords is yelling "DAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!" because he is about to start a killing spree.

Differently Coloured Diamonds

Did you know that diamonds come in different colors? In fact, RuneScape, MapleStory, Minecraft and the Microsoft Puzzle Collection's Jewel Chase had to use diamonds that are of a different color so that people can identify which game the diamond came from.

Green Gemstone Venn Diagram

While an emerald is harder than a jade, which explains why cutting jade in RuneScape has a chance of getting a crushed gem, what these two green gemstones have in common is that both emeralds and jades get turned into bolt tips for crossbow bolts in RuneScape.

Mithril Warhammers United

Characters wielding Old School RuneScape Mithril Warhammers featured from left to right starting with the top row:

Row 2: Hat Kid (A Hat in Time), Suchie-Pai (Suchie-Pai), Rit (Rod Land, Soldam), Klonoa (Klonoa), Toon Link (The Legend of Zelda), Ryo Sakazaki (The King of Fighters XV Attire) (The King of Fighters).

Row 3: Garfield (Garfield), Edd (Ed Edd N Eddy), Gilius Thunderhead (Golden Axe), Tyris Flare (Golden Axe), Ax Battler (Golden Axe), Simon Belmont (As he appeared in Captain N: The Game Master) (Castlevania).

Row 4: RED Soldier (Team Fortress 2), BLU Soldier (Team Fortress 2), Dirk the Daring (Dragon's Lair), Spelunker (Spelunker), Wynn (Mystery of Atlantis), Lemming (Lemmings).

Yet another comic where characters wielding Old School RuneScape weapons are rising up in united arms against the injustices plaguing the Earth? Looks like justice know no boundaries...

Metal Bar Venn Diagram

Author's Note: Only RuneScape metals that exist in the real world are featured in this Venn Diagram comic.

Metals that are used for manufacturing weapons and armor: Iron, Steel.

Metals that are used for manufacturing sports medals: Gold, Silver.

Metals that are used for manufacturing weapons, armor and sports medals: Bronze.

While bronze is inferior to gold and silver as well as weaker than iron and steel, bronze has been widely used for the manufacturing of weapons, armor and sports medals, making it one of the most important metals in the history of metalworking.

Four-Pointed Stars

In RuneScape, Saradomin's emblem is a four-pointed star. The four-pointed star is also the emblem of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Alliance. This would mean the Saradominist faction is the RuneScape equivalent of NATO. But this uncanny similarity has yet to be officially confirmed by Jagex, and that's because Saradomin's four-pointed star came from the crown he's wearing while NATO's four-pointed star represents a compass that is keeping the Allies on the right road that is the path of peace.

Anti-Xbox 360 Weapons

Back in 2007, the infamous Red Ring of Death terrorized anyone who possessed an XBox 360. People started blaming Microsoft for not taking responsibility for all the XBox 360s that got bricked by the Red Ring of Death. Microsoft's response was to redesign the XBox 360 to reduce the number of XBox 360s getting bricked by the Red Ring of Death, and concealed the true cause of the infamous Red Ring of Death as a result.

For this comic, I came up with the idea of using various weapons to destroy any XBox 360 that got bricked by the Red Ring of Death. We have the dynamite and the shotgun from Looney Tunes, both of which are weapons in the Worms series, as well as the Uzi from the Worms series. We also have a Leopard 2 Tank from Daisenryaku and War Thunder, a Steel Warhammer from Old School RuneScape, Rit's Magic Wand from Rod Land and Soldam, and a Sledgehammer from MapleStory. If I had any of these weapons, I would definitely use them to destroy an XBox 360 that got bricked by the Red Ring of Death.

TL;DR, Bill Gates must pay a terrible price for making millions of XBox 360 owners unduly upset.

By the way, the Leopard 2 Tank in this comic is the Leopard 2A4 variant.

Armor Piercing Stab

Weapons stabbing a female noob wearing bronze armor from left to right starting with the top row:

Row 1: Maple Glory Sword (MapleStory), Steel Longsword (RuneScape), Keenblade (RuneScape), Maple Soul Singer (MapleStory), Gradriel's Sword (Princess Crown).

Row 2: Master Sword (The Legend of Zelda), Steely Throwing Knife (MapleStory), Adamant Throwing Knife (Old School RuneScape), Sparta (MapleStory), Broadsword (MapleStory).

Bronze equipment was always considered to be the stuff of noobs in RuneScape before the Evolution of Combat Update. After that update went live, iron equipment, which used to require level 1 in certain combat skills had their skill requirements increased, making them out of reach for some people who did not have the requirements when that update went live. This was perhaps the real reason Jagex decided to come up with Old School RuneScape, so that players who could not cope with the new combat update can enjoy what RuneScape used to be like before the Evolution of Combat.

To show how weak bronze equipment is in Old School RuneScape, various weapons are shown stabbing a female noob in this comic. Even low-level weapons such as Keenblade and steel longswords could pierce through bronze armor, so don't get started on high-level weapons. The results would be far too horrific beyond imagination...

Player-Owned Ports Memories (Part 2)

What are your memories of RuneScape's Player-Owned Ports voyages? Mine would have been helping Ling the Assassin to get rid of Thalassia's cruel Khan Tombi, which is exactly what one of Captain Rodney's navy buddies said. Of course Captain Rodney had to mention the voyages revolving around the island of Hyu-Ji. After all, the Hyu-Ji storyline has the final story voyage revolve around defending the island from an enemy coalition.

Player-Owned Ports Memories (Part 1)

Do you remember the days when we gave all kinds of wacky different names to our ships in RuneScape's Player-Owned Ports? What about naming our Player-Owned Ports ships after actual ships of the United Kingdom's Royal Navy or the United States Navy? Those were the glory days...

For those wondering what ships Captain Rodney and his navy buddies are referring to, HMS Diamond, HMS Dragon, HMS Ocean and HMS Illustrious are Royal Navy ships that were in active service as at 6/6/2012, while USS Enterprise, USS Ranger, USS Fletcher, USS King, USS Narwhal, USS Shark, USS Jack and USS Swordfish are US Navy ships that were in active service as at 6/6/1988.

Iron Daggers

Can you imagine three totally different video games having an Iron Dagger as an item?

In Diablo 2, one of the possible magic items you can find is called "Iron Dagger". The "Iron" prefix increases attack rating by +21-40.

Iron daggers are very common low-leveled items found in RuneScape. They are commonly dropped by guards and hill giants in (Pre-Mining and Smithing Rework) RS3 and Old School RuneScape.

Iron Daggers are weapons featured in MapleStory. They can be equipped by Thieves and Warriors when they are Level 25 or higher.

Things that are better than Internet Censorship

Author's Note: If there is anything I would never want to be, it's being a pawn of Internet Censorship. Any pawn of Internet Censorship should be locked up in prison until the day they die. Period.

If I could be anything instead of a pawn of Internet Censorship, I would rather be an item from RuneScape. Most preferably, I would be better off being a Rune Dagger, or a Rune Warhammer, or a Granite Maul, or some Rune Throwing Knives, or an Anti-Dragon Shield, or a Gold Bar, or a Silver Bar. All of these items are good, and are way better than Internet Censorship by a long shot.

P.S. These items are all from Old School RuneScape.

Currency Backers

Items featured in this comic: Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, Diamond, Gold Ring, Gold Bar, Silver Bar, Bronze Bar, Garnet, Aquamarine, Limestone Brick, Teak Plank, Mahogany Plank, Amethyst, Topaz.

Fiat currencies are dead, or so it seems. However, some countries are not taking any chances and are resorting to backing their currencies with precious metals. Having a currency that's backed by gold bars, silver bars or gold rings definitely makes sense. I do not know about having currencies backed by gems such as sapphires, emeralds, rubies, diamonds, garnets, aquamarines, amethysts or topazes, but I do not approve of having currencies backed by bronze bars, teak planks, mahogany planks and limestone bricks because backing currency with objects in real life is not like the video games.
