Wearing It Better 2

Swimsuits worn by my OC Turquoise in this comic, from left to right: Zelda's pink swimsuit from "Fairies In The Spring" (The Legend of Zelda TV series), Kagome's swimsuit from "The Toad Who Would Be Prince" (Inuyasha), Squid Girl's swimsuit (Squid Girl).

Author's Note: Turquoise is once again in another comic inspired by the "Who Wore It Better?" meme. This time, it's about swimsuits from various franchises.

There is just one instance of Zelda wearing a swimsuit, and that was in the Legend of Zelda TV series episode "Fairies In The Spring". This was also the only time where The Legend of Zelda series had a water park episode, which will be the closest this franchise will get to a beach episode.

But The Legend of Zelda series isn't the only case of a major female character wearing a swimsuit for one instance in official canon. At the start of the Inuyasha episode "The Toad Who Would Be Prince", we get to see Kagome swimming in a lake in her yellow and orange striped swimsuit. But that will be the only time we get to see Kagome in swimwear.

In contrast, Squid Girl gets to wear her white swimsuit on far more occasions, which makes far more sense due to the premise of Squid Girl being set in a town located near the sea.

If Turquoise were to wear any of these swimsuits, did she wear them better?

More Rejected Smash Bros Alternate Costumes

While Zero Suit Samus' red and black costumes in the Super Smash Bros series are supposed to be references to her ending outfits from the NES Metroid and SNES Super Metroid, I think they should be replaced with the aforementioned ending outfits from their respective games. Also, the Mario Strikers series female soccer outfits should have been in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, but they would be impractical for Peach and Daisy as they would look like Zero Suit Samus' last two alternate costumes, and they would not comply with their moveset. The same can be said for the Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games female swimwear. However, I would like the Mario Strikers Charged armour to be a Mii Brawler costume instead. And the Squid Girl Inkling costume from Splatoon did not even show up in Super Smash Bros Ultimate because of either Masahiro Sakurai's no manga characters allowed policy or the manga and anime studios do not want to issue a license to have the costume in the game. But I really wish the next Super Smash Bros game will include alternate costumes that did not make the cut, and also licensing issues regarding anything that did not originate in a video game to not be a problem.
