Arcades of Yesteryear

Do you remember the glory days of the video game arcades? Well, I do. That's why this comic focuses on remembering the days of growing up with Street Fighter, The King of Fighters, Metal Slug, Raiden, Dance Dance Revolution, Pop'n Music, Bishi Bashi, and Puzzle Bobble. but these were the more well-known ones. There might be more arcade obscurities out there, waiting for recognition.

Back in the late 1990s, video game arcades were still alive and well. In fact, some of the best arcade titles such as Puzzle Bobble, Street Fighter, Raiden, and Metal Slug to name a few were brought over to the PlayStation, and these arcade conversions did well. But now, a large number of arcade titles have fallen by the wayside, and of those that have continued to hold out, very few of them aged well. Even the video game arcades have seen the number of good arcade video games dwindle, and they continue to dwindle to this day.

And yes, the "Oh, to be young again..." quote became a popular topic in poetry that it became an actual quote in Miitopia, where Miis afflicted with aging often complain about what they have to do to be young again. Man, I really miss the times when arcades were at their prime...

T becomes X

It's official. Elon Musk has retired the Twitter bluebird for a letter X. However, we should not forget the other Twitter symbol, a letter T, being phased out as well. In response, some users have deleted their accounts, with one of them being YouTuber Crispy Toast. Meanwhile, Mastodon and Gab users are monitoring the situation very closely, observing how the situation in Twitter will turn out.

Then again, it was the European Union who wanted to humiliate Elon Musk by coercing him to make bad decisions that will anger the people so that they will turn on him while the European Union's corrupt bureaucrats go unpunished. This means sooner or later, Mastodon and Gab will be the corrupt bureaucrats' next target, and that is another bad omen concerning the rise of the Beast Regime.

A Father worse than Heihachi Mishima

It's no secret that Professor Hojo is the evil genius behind Sephiroth because Professor Hojo is Sephiroth's father. This means Professor Hojo would definitely be a bad father worse than Heihachi Mishima. Imagine if Heihachi's son Kazuya, who has a huge dislike of fathers, found out Professor Hojo was Sephiroth's father...

Tearing Down Yasukuni

If you have a legitimate reason to boycott Nintendo, Square Enix and Toei for more than just their DMCA takedowns of anything that they consider acts of copyright infringement, remember that Japan has not apologized to the countries that suffered under them during World War 2. To make matters worse, the infamous Yasukuni Shrine, where the names of war criminals were enshrined in, continues to anger the countries that Japan oppressed during World War 2. This means that the Yasukuni Shrine has essentially become a symbol of racism and war crime denial.

Right now, we need somebody to convince Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida to demolish Yasukuni Shrine, and that somebody needs to come up with a modified version of Ronald Reagan's "Tear Down This Wall!" quote, only this time it's about tearing down Yasukuni Shrine and demanding that Japan apologize to the countries that suffered under them during World War 2. Unfortunately, such a person is hard to come by, meaning there will be no justice for the victims of Imperial Japan. Or will the victims of Japanese war crimes finally get the justice that has eluded them when Christ rules all nations, including Japan, with a rod of iron? Who knows, the DMCA takedowns by Nintendo, Square Enix and Toei over the past few years were only the beginning of Japan's assimilation into the Mart of Nations that is prophesied to take over the Global Economy through a hostile takeover only to be swiftly judged by God himself. And when this Mart of Nations cease to exist, there will be no more Yasukuni Shrine, no more Great False Church deceiving us, no more tyrannical demagogues, no more racism, just Christ ruling all of humanity with a rod of iron.

Update: Fumio Kishida has been replaced by Shigeru Ishiba as Japan's Prime Minister, but don't get your hopes high on him apologizing to the countries that suffered under Japanese rule during World War 2. For all we know, he could be the instigator of Japan's coming betrayal of America that The Trumpet Magazine predicted.

Famicom 40th Anniversary Tribute

Today marks the 40th Anniversary of Nintendo's Family Computer, better known as the Famicom, the original Japanese version of the Nintendo Entertainment System. Who would have thought that 40 years after launching in 1983, the Famicom's legacy is still making a huge impact to this day? If Masayuki Uemura was still alive today, he would definitely be impressed by the legacy of the Famicom's cultural impact for sure.

On a related note, Spelunker, which also turns 40 this year, only had its popularity skyrocket when its Famicom port was released in 1985, and later released on the NES two years later. That's why Spelunker (as he appeared in the Famicom/NES version) is featured alongside both the original 1983 design Famicom and the 1993 redesign Famicom.

Happy 40th Anniversary, Famicom! You transformed Nintendo into the major icon of Japanese pop culture we know today!

Mathematical Decline

If one must wonder why mathematical scores are on the decline in the United States of America, it's not the video games, although many educational video games are rather mediocre at best. Instead, we should blame the leftists' agenda for the declining mathematics scores.

Although Donkey Kong Jr Math will go down in the history of Nintendo as one of the worst NES games ever made, it was a decent attempt by Nintendo to create educational video games using whatever assets they have at that time. Unfortunately, neither the furniture item version featured in the GameCube Animal Crossing game nor the Virtual Console re-release versions on both the Wii and Wii U could vindicate that horrible history. But there are those who will ardently defend Donkey Kong Jr Math by stating that this current generation of school-goers will be unable to complete the game's Exercise Mode, which is unfortunately true, judging by whatever nonsense is being taught in school these days...

As for homeschooling being prohibited, it has not happened in America because Gab users are promoting it, but it has already happened in France, and it failed to rein in riots sparked by police brutality. Eventually, we will need God's divine intervention to replace our dysfunctional system with a new one.

Decentralized Alternatives

With Twitter going into a downward spiral recently, its main competitors Gab and Mastodon have risen to the challenge.

If you have plans to quit Twitter, before you go scorched earth, remember to back up whatever you posted on Twitter, most likely pictures and videos. It will be a useful archive when you re-upload them on Gab, Mastodon, or both.

Turmoil in France

If you have been reading about what is happening in France, you would have been aware that a teenager was shot dead by a police officer just because he did not have a proper license to drive an automobile. Despite the police officer apologizing to the dead teenager's family, riots broke out and the rioters are not backing down. This, in addition to protests over a pension dispute, could bring about the end of the three values of liberty, equality and fraternity that have defined France for more than 200 years.

Looks like dark times are ahead for France, which had been a great power during the Middle Ages, the Colonial Era, in the Daisenryaku video game series, and in World Cup soccer.
