Fun Fact: Getting the second best ending in either the Famicom Disk System version or Nintendo Entertainment System version of Metroid, and then pressing start at the end of the credits will start a new game with Samus in Justin Bailey mode without using the Justin Bailey password.
Remember when I made a comic about NES/FDS Metroid Samus in a bikini? Well, the second best ending revolves around Samus in a leotard when in Justin Bailey mode, and a gymnasium would be a better background than the surface of Zebes.
The first image is obvious. The second is a reference to the leotard worn by Samus in the Nintendo Comics System stories, most notably Captain N: The Game Master. The third is based on the colour of her Zero Suit, while the fourth is a reference to the creamed spinach colour of the original Game Boy's screen. The fifth image is based on the leotard worn by Rosalina in Mario and Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, and the sixth is based on Sakura Kinomoto's Red Cape Costume, in which one of the main features of the costume is a blue leotard. The last two images are based on the flag-themed leotards worn by female gymnasts in gymnastics competitions, in this case, the flags of France and Netherlands are represented in this comic.
