On the 14th of March, 2026, Cuba was rocked by one of the biggest revolts since Fidel Castro's 1959 Revolution. This revolt was in protest against the Communist regime amid blackouts that were made worse by a US oil blockade.
Speaking of Cuba's 1959 Revolution, SNK lionized this revolution in their 1987 Arcade game Guerrilla War, which was originally released in Japan as Guevara. In Guerrilla War, Player 1 is in the shoes of the titular character Che Guevara, while Player 2 takes up the role of Fidel Castro. Now that the Cuban people are revolting against the ideology that Che Guevara and Fidel Castro fought for in Guerrilla War, should the Communist regime fall, it will leave SNK wallowing in regret because the Arcade game that was based on the 1959 Cuban Revolution will be on the list of poorly-aged things.
