Nintendo Switch Lite Possible New Colours

There are currently four colours for the Nintendo Switch Lite, as compared to the many colours for the Game Boy line and the DS line, including 3DS models. In this comic, here are all my ideas for new Nintendo Switch Lite colours, with three of these colours paying homage to Nintendo consoles of yesteryear. The orange Switch Lite will basically be a homage to the orange Game Boy Advance and orange GameCube, both of which are Japan-only. Then the teal Switch Lite, while nearly similar in colour to the turquoise Switch Lite, would be reminiscent of the teal Game Boy Color. Another Nintendo Switch Lite will have the GameCube's indigo colour. As for the lime green Switch Lite, while not a tribute to the light green Game Boy Color, would be a reference to Swapnote's resident Mii Nikki, as well as a tribute to the now-defunct Miiverse. Other colours include British Racing Green, which pays homage to the traditional colour of British automobiles, Shamrock Green, the shade of green associated with Ireland, and amethyst purple, which is associated with amethysts.

Now it will be up to Nintendo to consider if these new Switch Lite colours get their approval.

Singapore's 1983 Arcade Prohibition

Did you know that arcades were actually prohibited in Singapore in 1983? Amid a North American video game crash, Singapore's then Ministry of Culture issued a nationwide ban on video game arcades in a bid to curb addiction, as well as reduce truancy, petty crimes, and possibly beat 'em up-style fighting incidents. Private clubhouses such as the Singapore Armed Forces Reservists' Association (SAFRA) and Civil Service Club (CSC) were exempted from the ban, provided that they enforced checks regularly. PC and console gaming were also excluded from the arcade prohibition, resulting in their respective markets proliferating. This in turn would turn Singapore into one of the forgotten battlegrounds of the Console Wars between Nintendo and Sega. By then, the ban was lifted because it failed at curbing addiction and reducing delinquent crimes.

If only other Japanese consoles that's not Nintendo's Famicom or NES, both of which were sold in Singapore, such as Sega's SG-1000, Sega's Master System, Epoch's Cassette Vision, Epoch's Super Cassette Vision and Sony's MSX were on sale in Singapore's video game stores, they would have thrived in terms of sales numbers amid a ban on video game arcades, because video game consoles are exempted from the video game arcade ban, and video game console sales actually thrived due to the ban.

Hiroshima

75 years ago, the Japanese city of Hiroshima was demolished by an American atomic bomb. This was followed by Nagasaki being demolished by another atomic bomb three days later. The usage of atomic bombs brought World War 2 to an end, but it made our world a more hazardous place. Since the Cold War, rogue dictators and terror groups who seek world domination have been scrambling to get an atomic bomb by any means possible. As a result, our world now tethers on the brink of a nuclear firestorm that would possibly result in no organic life being left alive if God does not intervene.

Lack of Monuments

In the Pokemon games, there are many statues of Rhydon appearing all over whichever region the Pokemon series takes place in. This is because Rhydon was the first Pokemon that Game Freak designed for the game. However, aside from a structure known as "the ultimate weapon" that was built by AZ to bring the Kalos War to an end, no monuments dedicated to any part of the Pokemon World's history exists. One theory claims that the leftists won the Pokemon War that Vermillion City Gym Leader Lieutenant Surge spoke of, which could explain the lack of statues of other people, including an ancestor of Professor Oak, who was a hero from a few centuries ago, who was mentioned by the official Pokemon books written by Takeshi Shudo. The leftists' victory in the Pokemon War could also explain why there is no competition within the Pokeconomy. Currently, in the United States, there is a campaign by the leftists to destroy America's history. Statues had been destroyed or vandalized as a result. To make matters worse, capitalist corporations are donating to these leftist movements.

With all that said, the wars that happened in the Pokemon World are all but forgotten. No wonder the Pokemon series is a very dangerous series. Forgetting your history leads to a dangerous slide to chaos, which is exactly what is happening in America right now. There is a saying that "History is written by the winners." There is one huge problem with this saying though. What if the winners were more evil than even the obvious villains? Another theory claims that a far greater evil than even the most sinister criminal gang known to exist in the Pokemon World won the Pokemon War. This can explain why Xatu is paralyzed with fear over the future that he saw with his own eyes. For all we know, somebody even more vile than the obvious villains did win the Pokemon War. Yet, Game Freak is hiding that truth from all of us since 1996. Even worse still, Pokemon series creator Satoshi Tajiri considers the darkest version of the Pokemon World known to exist in any official Pokemon continuity to be the closest and most faithful to his original vision for the Pokemon series. With that said, this would make The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild's post-apocalyptic Hyrule look less dangerous.

The Sheep and the Goat

Author's Note: This comic was based on the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats from Matthew 25:31-46.

The story goes like this: When the Son of Man asked the sheep and the goats several questions regarding helping others in need, the sheep said yes to all the questions, while the goats said no to all of them. Both the sheep and the goats then replied "Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison?" The King will then tell the sheep to claim their inheritance, the kingdom prepared for them since the creation of the Earth, because whatever the sheep did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of the King, they did it for him. As for the goats, the King told them to depart from him and leave for the fire pit prepared for the Evil One and his henchmen, because whatever the goats did not do for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of the King, they did not do it for him.

Time Announcer

Swiss watch manufacturer Raymond Weil was known for being the official time announcer for the News programs of Mediacorp's predecessors, most notably the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (SBC). In fact, Raymond Weil was still the time announcer for Channel 8's news programs as far back as 1995, when Mediacorp was then known as Television Corporation of Singapore (TCS). Nowadays, Mediacorp has different time announcers for their news programs outside Channel News Asia (CNA), but Raymond Weil is not one of them. Raymond Weil's watches, however, are still available in Singapore's watch market.
