2021 Half time Report

It's the 30th of June again, and you know what this means. It's time for yet another half time report.

The raid on the US Capitol is a terrible riot that is undermining democracy. Enemy rockets have bombarded Israel once more, the #FreeChina movement has suffered its biggest blow as a Hong Kong newspaper that champions truth closes operations for good, and the European Union's copyright regulations make life difficult for all netizens. But the pandemic is the worst part, because the "cure" is not helping us as much as we hoped.

Apparently, all of these are just forerunners for worse times to come, and all of them were foretold in the Bible. So do not expect 2022 to be better than 2021.

Non-Regulation Swimsuits

Two-piece swimsuits are no longer allowed in swimming competitions. However, two-piece swimsuits are acceptable in beach volleyball tournaments, granted that the bikini top looks like a sports bra. This could give midriff-baring crop tops, whether short-sleeved or long-sleeved, a chance to become part of the official female beach volleyball attire.

Yes, this comic included the two-piece swimsuit worn by Arle in the swimming competition in PuyoLympics. It would have been considered a non-regulation swimsuit in swimming competitions by now. However, it would be considered acceptable by swimsuit regulations in beach volleyball tournaments.

Debate over Pyra's Shorts

Currently, there is a huge debate over whether Pyra is wearing a really small pair of shorts or a very small miniskirt. Either way, she had to wear a pantyhose when she qualified for the Super Smash Bros Ultimate Fighters Pass Volume 2 DLC. All of this had to be done to comply with the game's age ratings. This can explain why Mai Shiranui had to be omitted from the King of Fighters Stadium's VIP spectators list.

Gotta Eat Fast

A comic with an actual hedgehog? The hedgehog in this comic is not Sonic, but the comic's title is associated with Sonic's "Gotta Go Fast" catchphrase.

The hedgehog's owner wearing blue as well as the blue wall and the blue dishes could just be a coincidental reference to Sonic and Sega.

Yes, real-life hedgehogs do eat carrots and cat food. In Sonic X, Sonic does not like cat food, unlike the hedgehog in this comic who happily eats the carrot slices and the cat food his owner gave to him. This means that real-life hedgehogs are better than Sonic in some ways, even if many of them cannot live up to 10 years, let alone 30...

Happy 30th Anniversary, Sonic the Hedgehog. You made hedgehogs popular animals on the Internet.

The Russo-German War

Today marks the 80th anniversary of Operation Barbarossa, when, on the 22nd of June, 1941, the Axis of Evil, led by the German Reich, launched a dastardly offensive into Communist Russia. What followed was an epic rivalry between two monster dictators, resulting in massive bloodshed. In the end, Germany was defeated and partitioned while Russia went on to be America's arch-rival during the Cold War that followed after the end of World War 2. The 22nd of June, 1941, was, is, and will always be, Russia's Day of Infamy, even when Russia today is no longer Communist.

The War for the Final DLC Slot

Now that Tekken's Kazuya has taken the penultimate Fighters Pass Volume 2 character slot, one question remains. Who will the final
Fighters Pass Volume 2 character be? And no, Sakurai is not telling who it will be during his presentation on Kazuya Mishima.

However, here are my eight candidates for the final Fighters Pass Volume 2 character, and six of them, including honorable mention Dirk the Daring, were from my Fighters Pass Volume 2 candidates comic. All they need to do now is to get into a huge all-out war for the final Fighters Pass Volume 2 character slot and we will finally be done and over with Super Smash Bros Ultimate's DLC so that we can prepare for an even bigger war to come.

Update: Sora from Kingdom Hearts qualified for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, meaning none of the characters in this comic will be in Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

Villager's Rejected Losing Animation

Yes, the Animal Crossing Player Villager cries in the Animal Crossing games starting from Wild World when emotions were introduced to the series. The sorrow emotion became their losing animation in Mario Kart 8 as well as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. However, this should also have been their losing animation in the Super Smash Bros games as well, similar to Ice Climbers sobbing when they lose being a reference to the No Bonus screen in Ice Climber. Then again, having Villager cry when he or she loses in Smash Bros will reflect badly on the Animal Crossing series...

More things we will not have before WW3

It would be great to have a deluxe version of Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Nintendo had designed Nintendo Switch ports of several Wii U games such as Mario Kart 8, New Super Mario Bros U and Pikmin 3. If Super Smash Bros Ultimate Deluxe ever happens, it will have all the DLC characters and stages from the original version, as well as a new campaign.

Despite the success of Command and Conquer Remastered Collection, there will not be a Command and Conquer Remastered Collection Volume 2 however, as Electronic Arts is not keen to do a remaster of Tiberian Sun or Red Alert 2 because a remaster of both games will need more effort than the Command and Conquer Remastered Collection.

MapleStory already had several tie-in events, including Sword Art Online, Cardcaptor Sakura, and BTS. However, a tie-in event starring Command and Conquer is very unlikely because in Red Alert 3, the Korean War got erased from the Cold War history books when Anatoly Cherdenko shook hands with Albert Einstein and erased him from the space-time continuum. Therefore, a Command and Conquer tie-in event is definitely out because when you have a storyline where the Cold War took a wrong turn because of time travel, there would be no licensing agreement between Nexon and Electronic Arts.

Unfortunately, as much as we would like any of the above to happen, we are not going to have any of them before World War 3 happens...

Stages of a Boycott Campaign 2

Between the copyright takedowns that resulted in the termination of several YouTube accounts and the disastrous dumpster fire that was Balan Wonderworld that left Sonic the Hedgehog creator Yuji Naka considering retirement, it is safe to say that the time has come to boycott Square Enix. If you want to save your money for the rainy days, do not buy Final Fantasy XVI, Dragon Quest XII, or both, just like how people voted with their wallets to reject Balan Wonderworld after it was confirmed to be a catastrophic calamity.

So please, shut your wallets on Square Enix and get #ShameOnSquareEnix and #BoycottSquareEnix trending on social media right now. Avenge the fallen while we still can...

Numbered Days

Author's Note: This comic could mark the webcomic's end of the road, as well as the end of an era, for the Internet will never be the same again from next Monday onwards...

It's official. The Internet that we all grew up with, and the concept of the "Free World", are all things of the past now. It's not just dictator-administered rogue nations that are bringing the Golden Age of "Pax Americana" and "Pax Britannica" to an end. If only we came to the realization that Europe wanted to shed their robes of democracy in exchange for an autocratic superstate akin to the Roman Empire, we would have united against this monstrous beast. But we failed. And it's not just Europe that will pay the price. Even other people who live in countries that are not part of the European Union are now being subjected to the European Union's jurisdiction. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a good example of the European Union being autocratic. This regulation is going beyond the European Union's borders by being enforced on territories that are not part of the European Union, from Bolivia to Belize, San Francisco to Seoul, Trondheim to Timbuktu, Kaohsiung to Kyoto, no region is exempted from the European Union's cyberspace regulations. This is why rogue dictators are losing their minds. They do not fear America. Rather, their real enemy is Germany's shadow government, and this shadow government wants to enforce their will upon the Earth. Such actions will bring about World War 3, and there have been many debates over which incident was the first shot of World War 3, from the break-up of Yugoslavia that began in 1991, to the European Union's hostile takeover of Internet copyright law in 2019. Eventually, all of this leads to a final showdown between the Resurrected Roman Empire and rival dictators. A final showdown that could result in no flesh being saved and the Earth in a state of total desolation...

Update: The European Union Copyright Directive came into force, but I am still around. I guess I can continue to be a content creator for now...

Explosions Compilation

Author's Note: My apologies to any German or Austrian readers who may be offended from reading this comic. However, if reading the truth as told by some of their netizens was any indication, Germany and Austria are slowly being taken over by autocrats.

If there is any way for a webcomic whose curtain call has not yet come to come to an end, go with a big bang. That's why this comic features explosions. Cue the finale of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture...

The bombing of the last Fokker Dr.I triplane by an Allied air raid in World War 2 sounds like justice for Snoopy or the 80 pilots who were shot down by the Red Baron in World War 1. However, Snoopy's World War 1 escapades may all be just his imagination according to WildBrain's new Peanuts cartoon. It's also possible that according to one fan theory found on Reddit, Snoopy was actually a World War 1 pilot who was killed in that conflict reincarnated as a dog, and is split between his past life and his current one.

Merchant ships have fallen prey to submarine torpedoes, and German merchant ships also fell prey to Allied and Soviet submarine attacks during World War 2 in retaliation against Germany's unrestricted submarine warfare during that conflict. The freighter that is about to get torpedoed in this comic is named Rostock, after a port city located in eastern Germany.

Capitalism is not the real enemy. The driver of the demolition truck that is about to blow up the pillbox has said that corporatism is the real enemy because if there is anything wrong with capitalism, it's obviously corporatism's fault.

The armoured fighting vehicle that is about to get blasted by a nuclear bomb is an Austrian Ulan armoured fighting vehicle. Recently, Austria's leaders had been disrespecting their democracy by becoming more autocratic. This hostile takeover of Austria, as well as several European Union member states, including Germany, by autocrats was already prophesied by the Bible. You know what else Bible prophecy predicted? The next Russo-German War. And Austria will be fighting for Germany against Russia and several countries from Asia that possess nuclear bombs. This means that the nuclear bomb dropped on the Austrian armoured fighting vehicle in this comic is a Russian nuclear bomb.

Urbosa's Panty Shot

Remember the comic about the trailer for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, where somebody who was watching the trailer saw Urbosa's panties? The official game came out, and the panty shots are confirmed. Apparently, Urbosa is not afraid of anybody seeing her panties, unlike several female characters that I know of...

Swimsuit Design Modesty

Even video games that feature gymnastics and swimming, which are sports that contain fanservice, had to choose female swimsuit designs that have less fanservice appeal in order to reach out to the adolescent gamer market. But it's not just Nintendo that had to comply with such regulations. Sega had to give Amy and Blaze skirted swimwear, and some people think skirts would slow them down hydrodynamically. This, however, turned out to be false, at least by video game logic standards.

By choosing swimsuit designs that sacrifice fanservice for modesty, it's clear that some video game companies had to comply with regulations concerning female swimwear designs. Notably, the last two alternate costumes for Zero Suit Samus in Super Smash Bros for 3DS and Wii U and Super Smash Bros Ultimate could have been disallowed by the video game age ratings authorities. However, if a two-piece swimsuit consists of a sports bra swim top and a boyshorts swim bottom, it gets a pass from the video game age ratings authorities, possibly because sports bras and boyshorts are considered modest by two-piece swimsuit standards.
