Annus Horribilis 2022

2022 turned out to be another bad year. We had Russia invading Ukraine, which could possibly get the ball rolling for more conflicts and possibly bring about the end of democracy in Europe and Asia. There's also the assassination of Shinzo Abe, which people claim could herald the end of Japanese democracy, although Shinzo Abe was putting Japanese freedoms to the sword before his death. The high profile obituaries do not stop there, however, as the obituaries of Queen Elizabeth II and Pele also made the headlines. And let's not forget about the corrupt World Cup that was hosted by Qatar, whose soccer team had the worst performance of a World Cup host nation after losing all three Group Stage matches...

If you want to get your hopes high for 2023, prepare for more disappointment. We may have less than ten years left before the start of the Great Tribulation...

Pele Tribute

The end of an era in soccer history has finally happened. Pele's obituary has officially hit the headlines, closing what could possibly be the final chapter of the soccer football we have come to love and grown up with. It gets more depressing when you learn that Pele's death happened amid scandals surrounding soccer's governing body and their controversial decisions to award the World Cup hosting rights to countries that were not ready for hosting a massive event.

Farewell, Pele. You will be dearly missed, and your footprints on the histories of Brazil and soccer will be greatly remembered.

A Sensitive Question

Recently, art hosting websites DeviantArt and Pixiv have begun a massive campaign to identify potentially sensitive content, and sometimes the content identification system gets it wrong by erroneously labelling artworks that are obviously "Safe For Work" as having potentially sensitive content. In comparison, stock image hosting websites do not identify images of girls and ladies in leotards, swimsuits and bikinis as images that have potentially sensitive content.

However, underwear exposure from wardrobe malfunctions and pantsing have resulted in hurtful reactions. It gets worse when incidents of gymnasts having bladder leaks happened before, and in such cases, their leotards leaked. It is currently unclear if panties and leotards leaking due to bladder incontinence should be considered wardrobe malfunctions. If that is officially confirmed, then designers really need to design leak-proof gymnastics leotards, just as leak-proof panties and swimwear are designed for countering bladder incontinence.

Clearly, fanservice is not for everyone, mostly people below the age of 13.

Update: DeviantArt has removed their sensitive content filter and decided that only artworks labelled mature by the artists will not be viewable to unregistered users.

Ash Ketchum's Final Chapter

This is it. Nintendo has finally announced that they are retiring Ash Ketchum from the Pokemon TV series, and they are chronicling the entire Ash Ketchum Arc with an 11-episode compilation called "Aiming to be a Pokemon Master", which is officially confirmed to be the final chapter for Ash and Pikachu before a new Pokemon TV series taking place in the Paldea region begins.

However, I feel disappointed that Ash Ketchum will never get to make a real appearance in the Super Smash Bros series, and just as disappointing could possibly be the revelation that Ash Ketchum was dying from the very beginning because the possibility that becoming a Pokemon Master is the moment right before death could actually be correct all along. In other words, "Aiming to be a Pokemon Master" is merely a celebration of the life of Ash Ketchum, just as the Champions' Ballad celebrates the life of the four Champions in Breath of The Wild. Who knows, maybe Lt Surge's war can finally be debunked for good...

Update: The Ash Ketchum Arc has officially ended, and it ended with "Next Time, A New Beginning". It did not end with Ash dying, but who knows if he will reappear in Pokemon Horizons...

Winter Memories

Remember, nobody can start anew in the middle of winter.

Snowboarding is one of the greatest winter sports, and there are many memories of such good times. But now, these memories are merely part of a bygone era that no longer exists...

There is nothing wrong with the Winter Solstice. In fact, the Winter Solstice is a wonderful day. But the real problem is that the New Year only begins on the Spring Equinox, not in the middle of winter, and most definitely not on the Winter Solstice. Perhaps this is why our world is so turbulent. It is a world that loves being held captive by dark forces so much that it has throughout history been constantly rejecting the God that created it.

Kirby Explains Fanservice

There is nothing wrong with female characters in lingerie, leotards, or female swimwear. Fanservice is not unwholesome when it's "Safe For Work", as long as private parts are covered.

In this comic, Kirby is informing us that female swimsuits, while looking similar in appearance to lingerie and leotards, are more water durable than lingerie and leotards. This could explain why females have no problems being in bikinis but feel more exposed when in lingerie. Given that bikini bottoms look like panties, perhaps it's time we started using swimies, a portmanteau of swimsuit and panties, as a new slang term for bikini bottoms. On top of that, there are long-sleeved one-piece swimsuits that look like water durable versions of gymnastics leotards, and females do not mind being in leotards. Therefore, fanservice can be "Safe For Work" if "Not Safe For Work" elements are completely omitted.

Long Way to Doha

Let's face it. The decision to let Qatar host the World Cup was a terrible mistake. Although Qatar is one of the richest countries on Earth, the expenditure for the 2022 World Cup is way more than the combined expenditure for all the World Cup tournaments from 1990 to 2018. Pestilence or no pestilence, there are people who will totally abstain from Qatar's World Cup, just like those who opposed Tokyo's Olympic Games before the pandemic began.

Unless you choose to fly Qatar Airways to Doha, travelling there will be a long journey in the desert, and directional signs will be hard to find. In other words, it sure is a long way to Doha...

Prelude to Tribulation

Amid all of the Internet drama, one thing is for certain. The day will come when God's Word is no longer permitted on the World Wide Web, and when that happens, the 45-day final countdown to the Great Tribulation begins, followed by a 30-day period when Jerusalem gets surrounded by armies bent on the city's total destruction. All of this is in accordance to Amos 8:11, which speaks about a famine of God's Word, and when this famine happens, it will be worse than all of the food and water shortages throughout history combined...

Uniquely Weird

In the South Korean version of Wii Party, Globe Trot features South Korea, the area circled in red, as the starting space, replacing the Japan Hot Spot in that game mode. Another feature unique to the South Korean version of Wii Party is Spin-Off having stars instead of medals. The changes in Globe Trot are possibly related to the unresolved issues between South Korea and Japan, although the lack of South Korea as a Hot Spot in all the other versions could be the real reason for the map changes, while the changes in Spin-Off are due to a gambling ban in South Korea.

#AshKetchumForSmash

On the 11th of November, 2022, Ash Ketchum defeated Galar's Regional Champion Leon, potentially bringing a 25-year odyssey to a possible poetic end. With the anime industry in turmoil in recent years, there has been nothing of an anime followup focusing on the Paldea Region because Studio OLM, the studio behind the Pokemon anime from the very beginning, was not spared from the turmoil either. This could mean the Pokemon anime is reaching the end of the road. If that is true, the theories of Pokemon being all just a dream from a dying Ash Ketchum, as well as becoming a Pokemon Master is the moment right before you die, will possibly be proven correct. Let's just hope Ash Ketchum does not have a Death Seal similar to the one placed inside Princess Sakura by Fei Wong Reed...

If there was anybody who said that Ash Ketchum will become Pokemon World Champion before Waluigi becomes a playable character in a Super Smash Bros title, that person just got proven correct...

With all that said, Ash Ketchum being playable in Super Smash Bros might not become a reality, much to my disappointment, because I wanted him to go toe to toe against Nintendo's other characters, including Mario, Donkey Kong, Kirby and perhaps third-party characters such as the Street Fighter duo of Ryu and Ken. But the biggest disappointment in my opinion will be that Ash Ketchum will never be able to go toe to toe against Sakura Kinomoto because that was what I was wishing for back in 2001.

All in all, Congratulations, Ash Ketchum! You have finally become the very best that no one ever was!

Update: The Ash Ketchum Arc has officially ended, and it ended with "Next Time, A New Beginning". We do not know if he will reappear in Pokemon Horizons in any way possible, nor will he ever appear in a future Super Smash Bros title. At least he did not possess a Death Seal. In other words, Pokemon Horizons will be a new beginning indeed...

The Duality of the Norwegian Language

I can never truly understand why there are two official variations of the Norwegian language. BokmÃ¥l was basically a Norwegianised version of Danish, while Nynorsk is based on Norwegian dialects. There was an attempt to merge the two versions of Norwegian into one common language, but the Samnorsk Language Project was eventually abandoned. Nowadays, BokmÃ¥l is the dominant version of Norwegian. But Norwegian television broadcasts in both BokmÃ¥l and Nynorsk, and all government agencies in Norway are required to support both written languages. This means whoever wants to visit Norway must be able to understand both the BokmÃ¥l and Nynorsk variations of the Norwegian language before going there. Otherwise, you could end up being lost in translation.

Ugly and Uglier

It's time for the creepiest day of the creepiest month of the year. But we're not going to focus on that. Instead, we're focusing on ugliness. Ugliness that was to blame for Polygon Man getting sidelined in 1995.

The real reason Jenova was prohibited from making cameo appearances in the Kingdom Hearts series, the Dissidia Final Fantasy series, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate was because of her being too grotesque. And it doesn't help when she's uglier than Polygon Man, whose ugliness got him sidelined for 17 years on Ken Kutaragi's orders.

No More Stadia

Let's be honest. Gone were the days when Google was the friendly neighbourhood search engine, and it gets worse when you learn about Google's plot to overthrow the United States. No wonder Google Stadia flopped and it's discontinuation date on 18 January 2023 had to be announced, because no one trusts Google.

Stab The Jerk

Weapons stabbing Gary Oak, from left to right: Master Sword (The Legend of Zelda series), Maple Glory Sword (MapleStory), Gradriel's Sword (Princess Crown), Bamboo Spear (Ikki), Soldier's Broadsword (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild).

I don't care if Ash Ketchum's original nemesis Gary Oak was named after Mario and Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto. The arrogant bully must be punished for all the years of bullying Ash Ketchum and tormenting millions of Pokemon fans worldwide. Even if it turns out that Ash Ketchum was either mentally ill, or a Zainichi Korean, or dare I say, a mentally ill Zainichi Korean, persecution is still persecution, and justice must be done, no matter what the cost.

Shorts turning into Bloomers

Author's Note: If you want to know where the idea of short shorts being magically turned into bloomers came from, it came from a scene from the animated series "The World Only God Knows" where Elsie turns shorts into bloomers.

Imagine if Peach and Daisy were wearing bloomers in the first two games of the Mario Strikers series with their crop tops, how will people buying these soccer games from the Mario series think about the franchise and Nintendo as a whole? No wonder Mario Strikers: Battle League went with more conservative modesty for female characters. Gone were the days of girls wearing shorts that look like panties, because some of them feel uncomfortable about wearing shorts that look like panties.

Dragon Longswords United

Characters wielding Old School RuneScape Dragon Longswords featured from left to right starting with the top row:

Row 1: Sakura Kinomoto (Crystal Feather Dress) (Cardcaptor Sakura), Ling Xiaoyu (Tekken), Lemming (Lemmings), Dirk the Daring (Dragon's Lair), Rit (Rod Land, Soldam).

Row 2: Tyris Flare (Golden Axe), Lip (Panel de Pon), Nessa (Pokemon Sword and Shield), Akira Yuki (Virtua Fighter 5 Attire) (Virtua Fighter), Ryo Sakazaki (The King of Fighters XV Attire) (The King of Fighters).

Row 3: Ripple (Magical Chase), Suchie-Pai (Suchie-Pai), Ptolemy (The Fairyland Story), Klonoa (Klonoa), Wynn (Mystery of Atlantis).

This comic was made to make certain characters look awesome if they wielded RuneScape's Dragon Longswords. Also, the characters featured in this comic need to rise up in united arms against the injustices plaguing the Earth. Perhaps the Earth would have been a better place by now if we had taken any action against the injustices tormenting the Earth a few decades ago...

The End of a Queen

It is with great sadness that Queen Elizabeth II passed away yesterday. Her obituary was just announced today. King Charles III is now the new King of the United Kingdom. With the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the United Kingdom's new Prime Minister, Liz Truss, is about to have a wild ride on a rough road that lies ahead for her. Amid the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War, the arguments between China and the USA over Taiwan and Korea, and anger against the descendants of Judah for being corrupt, England is about to face a crisis bigger than what Winston Churchill faced at the start of World War 2.

A combination of Brexit and the death of Queen Elizabeth II will bring about bad things. But a dictatorial Britain as seen in V for Vendetta or Code Geass is not going to happen. Instead, Britain's decline will not go into reverse gear but will accelerate faster than an Aston Martin or perhaps a McLaren. Who knows, maybe King Charles III will find himself witnessing the next World War...

Redacted Cause of Death

Author's Note: My apologies to my readers for my absence. One of my uncles passed away due to sudden death by heart disease.

We would like to seek the truth about the true cause of the heart disease that was responsible for sudden deaths. Unfortunately, I am unable to reveal the real truth. Not because I am overwhelmed with grief, but because Big Tech will not allow me to reveal the true cause of the heart disease. Therefore, the real truth will have to be redacted. But then again, this proves that the conspiracy theorists were right all along. They were just being told to keep quiet over and over again.

Legacy of Gorbachev

Yesterday, on the 30th of August, 2022, Mikhail Gorbachev, the last president of the Soviet Union and the man who opened Russia to the rest of the world, passed away at the age of 91. Like him or dislike him, he will be dearly missed. And the saddest part is that his legacy of Perestroika and Glasnost have died with him amid the Russo-Ukrainian War.

As a tribute to Mikhail Gorbachev, here is a comic featuring Mikhail Gorbachev making cameos in video games. The top image is from the MSX version of Gorby's Pipeline, and the bottom image is Zangief's Ending from the Arcade version of Street Fighter 2, which makes more sense given that Gorbachev's obituary happened on the day of the 35th Anniversary of Street Fighter.

Dasvidanya, Gorby. Zangief's fans will never forget your cameo in Street Fighter 2.

Variations of a Polygon Man Introduction

Even a malevolent polygonal head like Polygon Man knows that Microsoft and Nintendo needs to suffer his fury for their bad business ethics. In fact, Sony still can never forgive Nintendo for their 1991 betrayal that nearly killed off the PlayStation before it could even be conceived. So if you are unhappy with the unethical business ethics of Nintendo and Microsoft, perhaps joining forces with Sony would be a better option, even if Sony sometimes behave like a jerk just like Polygon Man.

BurgerTime 40th Anniversary Tribute

Today marks the 40th Anniversary of the launch of BurgerTime in Japanese arcades. While BurgerTime may not be as fondly remembered as Pac-Man, Space Invaders or Donkey Kong, it's legacy was more than enough to guarantee its main character Peter Pepper cameo appearances in the films Wreck-It Ralph and Pixels. Even when Data East, the original owners of BurgerTime, ceased operations in 2003, G-Mode continued with Data East's legacy by designing new entries for the series.

Happy 40th Anniversary, BurgerTime! Here's to many more years of beefy goodness!

Out Of Time

Remember when I uploaded a comic about the sands of time running out for YouTube? Well, it turns out that comic was right all along, and I fear this is just the beginning of even worse things to come. Even if YouTube alternatives exist, we might not even have sufficient time to become Internet celebrities on these YouTube alternatives, for the day will come when we all have to be on the run like fugitives...

Territorial Woes

Author's Note: This comic is about the 1961 War for Goa between India and Portugal. This was the story of the situation.

In 1947, India was granted independence from Britain. However, a few areas of the Indian subcontinent were still under Portuguese rule. Attempts by the British and Indian governments to convince Portugal to relinquish control of their exclaves turned out unsuccessful because the dictatorship in Portugal at the time kept rejecting peaceful negotiations. As a result, war between India and Portugal was inevitable. India won that conflict. Britain felt that the situation could have been solved peacefully. But then again, it was the fault of the Portuguese dictatorship for turning down all the peaceful means in the first place and averting unnecessary bloodshed.

On a side note, this comic about a footnote in India's history is also dedicated to India's 75th anniversary of their independence from Britain. Glory to the Commonwealth!

Stronger Together

Author's Note: The title of this comic is based on 2022's National Day theme song and is also found on the Singapore flag featured in this comic. And yes, that is the top of the SAFTI Military Institute Tower featured in this comic.

Need to know more? Below is the 2022 National Day theme song, Stronger Together:

All in all, in these dark times, we will be Stronger Together. Happy National Day.

Archiving Woes

Nobody will understand the pain archivists go through because Internet censorship has no respect for fair use, fair dealing and other rights granted by the First Amendment. But I do. Especially when I'm working to archive the past.

While the copyright authorities in some countries consider archiving the works of various artists, musicians and content creators legitimate because it meets the requirements for fair use or fair dealing, in other countries, archiving the works of various artists, musicians and content creators is illegal to the point anybody who violates copyrights could be classified as a domestic terrorist. Therefore, to say that preserving the past is a criminal act and fair use is illegal, I would answer that question by saying "Well yes, but actually no."

Then there's the complications of hostilities with unfriendly countries. For example, in response to sanctions, Russia's copyright authorities had to decriminalize software piracy. Imagine launching a full scale assault on another country, only to get embargoed by other countries. What would you do to circumvent sanctions? I would not encourage intellectual property piracy, but it would be necessary if it is against copyright owners from unfriendly countries. Unfortunately, some countries have weaponized their copyright laws to oppress netizens of various nationalities, including their own netizens. Germany and Japan, two countries that committed terrible war crimes in World War 2, and are still unrepentant of said war crimes to this day, are turning copyright regulations such as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) into weapons to be used against freedom of expression, artistic freedom, fair dealing, fair use, and the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. No wonder Russia, China, and whoever is on the side of those two countries are so antagonistic towards democratic countries, and that's because the democracies let Germany and Japan off so leniently in spite of the harsh punishments inflicted upon them. Maybe we should study the real history of the main copyright management societies of Germany and Japan, and you will learn that these copyright management societies have troubling history by having roots in darker times. It gets worse when in 1945, the Japanese government ordered classified documents to be burned up. And said burning of documents is why not only is Japan denying war crimes to this day, but the search for Amelia Earhart was made more difficult because it's possible potential clues of Amelia Earhart's whereabouts were among the documents that were destroyed by the burning of classified documents. In other words, if you were an archivist in Japan on the day they formally announced their surrender, you would be saying "Woe is me!" as you helplessly watch documents get burned up because among the documents could be incriminating evidence of your country's war crimes as well as possible whereabouts of Amelia Earhart.

Booty Panties

As long as there are underpants, especially female ones, the underwear obsessed pirate trio of Shark Bait, Smelly Pete and Sissy Le Poop will always seek them no matter what trouble they run into.

There are technically nine knickers in this comic, although the comic is about eight knickers that would get the attention of Shark Bait, Smelly Pete and Sissy Le Poop. This is because the two boyshorts knickers from both Metroid Fusion and Metroid Zero Mission were included together.

Sometimes, what makes a pair of panties attractive is the shape, or the color pattern. Even special designs such as the Triforce Panties would definitely get the attention of Shark Bait, Smelly Pete and Sissy Le Poop.

But remember, whatever Shark Bait, Smelly Pete and Sissy Le Poop are doing is strictly prohibited and can get you jail time.

Why Anschluss is nonsensical

Let's face it. There was nothing good about Anschluss at all. The original 1938 version was just a dastardly plan by the German Reich to take over the world. If Austria and Germany were to amalgamate today, the new flag will be more like the kind of flag Austria-Hungary had before the end of World War 1, and the flag of Austria-Hungary was just silly in terms of flag design. At the end of the day, let Austria be its own country, and not a province of Germany, even if both countries speak German.

The longest shot

Author's Note: The inspiration for this comic came from a Paperboy comic found on Tumblr created by Tumblr user VG-Libary titled "Anti-Climaxia!"

Even the Red Bird from Angry Birds is puzzled by flying Fronks, wondering what could have launched the Fronks. That's what makes Islands one of the craziest minigames in Game and Wario.

It is unknown if Wario really did say "No, I missed!" in the Mario Party games. But the idea of one player saying that when his Fronks miss a floating platform fits the situation well.

Sniped

Looks like the Team Fortress 2 Sniper is on a sniping streak in this comic. Perhaps I should start making more Team Fortress 2 comics...

Don't worry about Sir Arthur. Even a sniper rifle round from the Team Fortress 2 Sniper will only break his armor, leaving him in his underpants. Other than that, Sir Arthur will remain unharmed.

If there is any way to solve Birdo's gender identity crisis, just let the Team Fortress 2 Sniper shoot her dead.

Not even King K Rool's belly armor can prevent a sniper rifle round from the Team Fortress 2 Sniper from piercing through and critically injuring him. How's that for eliminating a villainous crocodile?

Accept it, Awesome Possum. Nobody likes you. You're better off dead at the hands the Team Fortress 2 Sniper.

If there is any Disney character who should get shot dead by the Team Fortress 2 Sniper as part of a full scale assault against Disney's bad business ethics, it's Mayor Gene from Wreck-It Ralph. His bullying of Ralph was what made Ralph go AWOL in the first place.

Who cares if some RuneScape noob gets sniped dead? For all we know, he could be using illegal macros to gain an unfair advantage.

Kyubey deceiving teenage girls is so unforgivable that he deserves to get shot dead by the Team Fortress 2 Sniper.

Orange is not a popular crewmate color in Among Us as it is the color that gets persecuted the most, and it does not help when one of the Impostors is an orange crewmate. Even if the whole orange crewmate is an Impostor thing is true, he either gets largely ignored, or he gets persecuted by those who want the Impostors gone. That's why the crewmate that got shot by the Team Fortress 2 Sniper is the orange one. He could be one of those Impostors, but everyone ignores him anyway, which is why the Impostors have a high win rate in Among Us.

Vicky is a terrible babysitter who should get shot dead by the Team Fortress 2 Sniper. That is all I can say about her.

The design of MapleStory's Shivermail armor is ridiculous. It makes female archers look like they are in their underwear. As a low-level archer armor, it would definitely not stop a sniper rifle round from killing the wearer.

If I were the Team Fortress 2 Sniper, I would like to kill Bowser in angry response to his villainy. After all, it's time we doubled our efforts on our offensive against Nintendo's bad business ethics, and Nintendo's villains such as Bowser and King K Rool are going to bear the brunt of our anger against Nintendo's bad business ethics.

Sunset of Japanese Democracy

Earlier Today, former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot dead. Currently, it is unknown if the assailant was mentally ill, or was possibly wronged by the 2017 anti-terror law criminalizing minor offences, of which copyright infringement was one of them. Either way, the state of Japanese democracy is heading for the sunset as its slow, painful death continues. The last time this happened to Japanese democracy, it plunged Japan into autocracy, World War 2 and extreme destruction.

The Boycott Nintendo Conundrum

If Nintendo becomes a Japanese Disney rat, I will go ham on boycotting Nintendo, just like how Disney is being heavily battered by boycotters.

Let's face it. As long as the Japanese government continues to deny Japan's World War 2 war crimes, there will always be consumers who will shun Japanese products. One of the targets of this boycott is Nintendo, whose copyright takedowns have angered consumers, prompting them to stage boycotts against Nintendo. Many of the boycotters who shun Nintendo would resort to buycotting PlayStation, XBox, and Valve's Steam. However, we should be buycotting the parallel economy instead, even if it means supporting a movement that leftists would classify as terrorists. The problem is that the parallel economy does not even have it's own version of Steam. But I wish the parallel economy had their very own version of Steam. Then we can make leftists cry, and boycott Nintendo without any strings attached. Who knows, perhaps somebody from Japan will expose his country's World War 2 atrocities as well as the repression that is being imposed on Japanese citizens by their own government by jumping ship on designing a game for this parallel economy version of Steam. Maybe that day will ultimately come. Until then, we will have to settle for the Steam Deck, as well as ramp up our fight for the freedom of the video game industry.

German-made Anti-consumerism

Whoever said that Donald Trump was a bully who wanted German automobiles gone from American roads does not see the big picture about the German automakers' plans to deceive US government environmental agencies. Even South Korea is doing their part to punish German automakers for anti-trust law violations, although the fines slapped against them by the South Korean anti-trust regulators are not harsh enough, owing to the South Korean Won being a weak currency. Such deceitfulness by German businesses, along with Germany's shadow government trolling Ukraine by denying military hardware from arriving in Ukraine, and the suppression of German citizens' freedoms by said shadow government are all unforgivable grievances that need to be judged. Yet nobody is going after Germany's shadow government, but we wish somebody was. Perhaps one day, all the injustices we dislike, including anti-consumer business practices, will be eradicated.

Clone Ash

One of the biggest fan theories is that the person we call Ash Ketchum is actually a collection of clones with memories (very poorly) implanted into their brains. This could explain why Ash Ketchum remains a 10-year-old. For all we know, Ash Ketchum is being cloned alongside Princess Sakura by Fei Wong Reed, and the real Princess Sakura's name was not Sakura at all. In fact, this cloning began even before Sakura Kinomoto's birth, let alone the start of her magical girl escapades. This means Pokemon could be related more to Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle than Nintendo's franchises. Another major plot twist is that, if the late Takeshi Shudo's proposed series finale for the Pokemon TV series was any indication, Ash Ketchum was all along mentally ill and dying, and the entire Pokemon series was nothing more than a dying dream. How's that for a disappointing series finale?

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle © CLAMP/Kodansha.

Update: The Ash Ketchum Arc has officially ended, and it ended with "Next Time, A New Beginning". It was not the depressing series finale that the late Takeshi Shudo proposed. But we have been left disappointed that we never found Ash's true identity. Perhaps Pokemon Horizons will unravel these mysteries. For all we know, Liko's pendant has something to do with Ash's past, and quite possibly, her real identity...

Parallel Economy Video Game Industry

Now is the time for the parallel economy to rise, and the parallel economy should create its own video game industry by having its own video game console so that people who are boycotting Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft for various reasons can jump ship. Even better still, the parallel economy should have its very own version of Steam, which would have games that are compatible with Linux operating systems.

Whether or not 3DO manufacturers Panasonic and LG supported artistic freedom and fair use remains a mystery. But both companies are definitely better than Nintendo when it comes to customer satisfaction.

Yes, Taiwan did try to leave a footnote on video game history with the Super A'Can, which is obviously not a Famiclone. Unfortunately, it was unable to compete with consoles from established brands such as Nintendo, Sega and Sony, resulting in the discontinuation of the Super A'Can. If Taiwan wishes for its sovereignty to survive, supporting the parallel economy is the only option left for them, and they can start by joining forces with parallel economy advocates from the Anglosphere. Perhaps Taiwan will manufacture their own video game console again, so that console gamers will have a true alternative to Nintendo, PlayStation, and XBox. An alternative that promotes freedom of expression.

Smacking Toad

Weapons smacking Toad in this comic, from left to right: Sakura's Clear Card Magic Staff (Cardcaptor Sakura), Broadsword (MapleStory), Wooden Mallet (MapleStory), Heavy Mace (MapleStory), Granite Maul (RuneScape).

If it's officially confirmed that the annoying Toads from Super Mario are actually sinister parasites that are a greater evil than Bowser has ever been since 1985, I will destroy Nintendo. Boycotting Nintendo alone will not be enough. The parallel economy will need to design a video game console that will compete against Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft, and take away parts of their market share, even if it means permitting content that is illegal on Nintendo, PlayStation and XBox consoles that are unrelated to intellectual property piracy.

Helping a Just Cause

This is your last chance, Nintendo! Cease all copyright takedowns, or I will boycott you!

Remember the time I sent Nintendo a warning about them getting boycotted? Well, South Korea had already been calling for a boycott of Japanese brands since July 2019, with Nintendo being one of the targets of the boycott. In fact, now is the time for those who feel that Nintendo should be punished for copyright takedowns and employee abuse to start boycotting Nintendo and stand up for those who had been wronged by Nintendo.

Perhaps the woman who told Nintendo salespeople "I hope you fail!" back in 1985 should now be christened as a heroine of freedom, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and justice. Unfortunately, we will never know her real name...

For those who wish to know where the "I'm Doing My Part!" picture came from, it was from the 1997 Starship Troopers film.

Browser Discontinuation

Today is the day Internet Explorer, the web browser that Internet users despise for having too many cybersecurity flaws, gets discontinued by Microsoft. Apparently, Microsoft should have discontinued Internet Explorer a long time ago, especially after the release of Microsoft Edge. But starting from today, users of certain Windows 10 versions who browse the web using Internet Explorer will be redirected to Microsoft Edge instead.

However, in the defence of Internet Explorer, Microsoft's arrogance and complacency left the browser vulnerable to cybersecurity issues, which was the real reason behind the drastic decline of Internet Explorer, forcing Internet users to look for alternatives. Eventually, after more than 25 years, Microsoft decided to discontinue Internet Explorer for good.

Farewell, Internet Explorer. You used to be the dominant web browser, but Microsoft's complacency brought about your demise.

America's Sad Decline

Had we not disobeyed the Terms and Conditions given by the Holy Bible, America's decline would not be so terrible. Unfortunately, the United States is not only on the decline, it could actually be at death's door. The writings had been on the wall for the past 15 years, from abandoned suburbs, schools, factories and malls, to a dwindling economy. Even the freedom of the people is dwindling, and it's not just the end of the Golden Age of Internet Content Creators that symbolizes the decline of the people's freedoms. The First Amendment, as well as the Constitution of the United States of America, are also under threat of being abolished. However, there will always be those who oppose anybody who seek to weaken America by any means possible. Yet such people are hard to come by, meaning America is inevitably heading for the end.

However, the Bible already had this depressing story written out as a prophecy for our generation because what follows after this depressing chapter and the terrible wars that accompany it is a bright future where all ethnic groups live in harmony and are abiding to the Terms and Conditions given by the Holy Bible. How's that for a Golden Ending?

Annual Online Sale 3

Once again, Shopee and Lazada are having an annual 6/6 Sale, which as you know, coincides with the D-Day anniversary. Unfortunately, the ongoing conflicts in other parts of the world have made important anniversaries of famous or infamous events from past conflicts mean nothing at all because the biggest cataclysms are on the horizon...

Sports Bra Swim Top Colors

Sports bras were not designed for swimming. However, swimwear tops based on sports bras do exist, and they are popular with triathletes and anybody who wants to wear two-piece swimwear but want more modesty.

Here are some color designs that sports bra swim tops should have. For example, the Three Crowns has become a symbol of Sweden from the Air Force to sports teams. Another popular design would be the shimabra, which would complement the shimapan knickers. In fact, two-piece swimwear based on shimabra and shimapan are largely popular. Other designs would include the shamrock, which has become a symbol of Ireland, and several video game-related content such as the Wii logo and the MSX logo.

Remembering China Airlines Flight 611

Today marks the 20th Anniversary of the midair break-up of China Airlines Flight 611 that killed 225 people, making it the worst air disaster to occur in Taiwanese territory. The crash happened over a month after South Korea's worst air disaster, where a Boeing 767 belonging to Mainland China's national carrier, Air China, crashed on a hill near Busan, killing 129 people. Keep in mind that China Airlines comes from Taiwan, which is where the original Republic of China was exiled to after losing the battle for the Chinese Mainland during the Chinese Civil War, hence the name China Airlines.

End of the Jumbo Jet Era

Let's face it. Bigger is not always better. Four-engined passenger jets are going out of fashion because efficiency is now the new king of commercial aviation, especially when the Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 are almost as prestigious as the Boeing 747-8 and Airbus A380, but with better fuel efficiency than the quad-engined behemoths. And this was already happening even before the current pandemic...

Anger Against Injustice

Let's face it. The real reason major Japanese copyright holders want to issue copyright takedowns is because their country's Anti-Terrorism Bill criminalized copyright infringement and multiple minor offences that have almost nothing to do with organized crime. As a result, Japanese netizens have a good reason to be angry with their government over the criminalization of minor offences that have no relation with organized crime and other issues such as the multiple corruption scandals involved in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. In fact, there are people who were against the Olympics even before the pandemic came along and ignited further anti-Olympics sentiment in Japan, and as the pandemic wreaked havoc, the truth about the corruption involved in the Olympics was made known to the whole world.

Exposing the wrongdoings of Japan's armed forces during World War 2 is strictly prohibited in Japan, and Japanese netizens who call the denial of war crimes an act of suppressing freedom of expression are often shunned by the government just because they speak out the truth. Such people who get shunned for telling the truth about Japan's war crimes are also among the Japanese netizens who are angry with their government as well. And this anger gets even worse when an original work of art from two South Korean sculptors was put on display at an art exhibitionin Aichi Prefecture, only to get a cease and desist from people who do not want war crimes to be made known to the whole world. In other words, we are living in the last days of freedom of expression. Only a few people realize that disturbing truth, and they may have realized it too late...

Iron Sky, Bronze Ground

Leviticus 26:19 is basically Deuteronomy 28:23 but with the sky becoming like iron and the ground like bronze.

According to Leviticus 26:19, one of the consequences of disobeying God was that the sky will become like iron, and the ground like bronze. However, this is not about the sky literally becoming iron and the ground literally becoming bronze. It just symbolizes poor harvest.

Console and Computer Equality

Let's face it. All of these consoles and computers featured in this comic would have moderate success in Singapore if not for the video game prohibition of 1983 that saw arcades banned for several years. Part of the prohibition included Singapore Broadcasting Corporation banning any telecast of video game commercials whatsoever. Even educational games such as Oregon Trail and Basic Math/Fun With Numbers were also affected by the prohibition.

While video game consoles and home computers were not banned by the prohibition, the period of that prohibition greatly affected the Commodore C64 and the Colecovision, and these two gaming machines were more popular than some of these consoles and computers featured in this comic. Sometimes, we just cannot have nice things, all because we had to protect our morals.
