Nobody Loves Waluigi

Masahiro Sakurai and Nintendo have good reasons to be mean to Waluigi. In Japan, Waluigi's name is an anagram for ijiwaru, which translates to mean-spirited or ill-tempered. With traits like these, even the villains despise Waluigi. At one point in the internet's history, a website that focuses on fictional villains considers Waluigi as the most evil character owned by Nintendo, and that he must have his own game to show what he is capable of. But Nintendo will never let him have his own game no matter what. Things got worse for Waluigi when Twitter decided to demonstrate bad users being penalized, and they used Waluigi as an example. The disrespect towards Waluigi continued in Super Smash Bros Ultimate when Nintendo demonstrated assist trophies being KO'd by having Marth slash Waluigi.

In other words, twenty years of trying hard, memes and demands for justice will mean nothing for an ill-tempered outsider who was created by outsiders.
