Let's face it. Japanese companies may not be prepared for the boycotts that will damage their reputation even if their income doesn't take a devastating hit from these boycotts. Besides Japan's broken copyright system that does not respect fair use, Japan continues to deny its war crimes from World War 2. To this day, the countries that have been wronged by Japan still do not have any justice done for them at all. Therefore, these countries do not see any problem with boycotting Japanese companies, especially those who crack down on so-called acts of intellectual property theft on the World Wide Web, because they can always buycott from others who do not go after alleged acts of copyright infringement on the World Wide Web.
Had Japan formally apologized to many of the countries they have wronged during World War 2 instead of going after alleged acts of copyright infringement in cyberspace, Asia and maybe most of the Earth would have been a better place.
