Ever wondered why Japan still has yet to give a formal apology despite individuals carrying out their apologies? That's because Nobuskue Kishi, a Class A War Criminal was hand-picked to be Japan's first post-war Prime Minister, and it doesn't help that his grandson Shinzo Abe would become Prime Minister as well. Such people would consider carrying out a formal apology to all the countries Japan wronged during World War 2 unacceptable. Maybe that's why Japan's unfriendly neighbours, which are administered by autocratic strongmen who threatened to do all sorts of bad things to the Free World, are behaving so roguishly. It could also be the reason why some Japanese copyright holders issue cease and desists against people who allegedly infringed on their copyrights just by showing their love for their franchises.
If Japan chose to apologize for all the wrongs they did during World War 2 instead of going after alleged acts of copyright infringement, we would have been living in a better world by now. But no, Japan still insists on denying war crimes responsibility. Therefore, boycotts can be justified against Japanese copyright holders who issue cease and desists to anybody who just want to show their love for their franchises.
