Author's Note: This comic was inspired by the Gru's Bad News meme from Despicable Me 2, Ronald Reagan's "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" quote, Internet paywalls getting more restrictive, and the recent implementation of Sensitive Content filters on various pictures and artworks uploaded on Instagram, Tumblr, DeviantArt, Pixiv, ArtStation and countless other websites. Of course, I designed my own royalty-free version of the Bad News meme to avoid copyright issues as well as to not be called lazy.
Attention, Internet users. We are heading towards dark days. First, we have to deal with paywalls barring us from the full stories on some news headlines, and now, we have to deal with Sensitive Content filters labelling some pictures of girls and ladies in skimpy attires as sensitive content. In regards to sensitive content, this filtering is happening on Instagram, Tumblr, DeviantArt, Pixiv, and ArtStation. But it will get worse. There will come a day when the Holy Bible, one of the most wholesome books in the history of literature, gets labelled as "Sensitive Content", as well as paywalls becoming unbreachable that even the Ultimate Subscription Package will be unable to breach them.
So, what is the solution? Convince the Internet's regulators to tear down the paywalls and remove the sensitive content filters on all artworks and pictures except for the very explicit ones.
Update: DeviantArt took down their Sensitive Content filter, meaning the only artworks that are not viewable are those labelled Mature by the artists.
